  • English Country Loveseat or just Weird?, First I love this fabric. It is a pink & grey toile featuring cherubs & greyhounds & is based on a Renaissance design. I am usually all for plain fabric for sofas but this time I made up my mind and upholstered my loveseat with it. Visitors are usually startled when they see it and most sit on it very carefully which makes me laugh. What do you think?, Living Rooms Design

  • Shabby Chic Style Decor!, Just a little of my creations mixed in with vintage treasures. I live in and have a "Shoppe" in Bethesda Ohio. Unfortunately we live in a very small farm community...about 1800 people. I opened my store in May of 2007 and we are going out of business. We just can't seem to bring in any customers. But at least I can say I tried and I have these pictures to show for it. For now I will just put my talents at work in our next home. But I do love to share my ideas!, Bedrooms Design

  • Just a Hallway, This hallway is wider than the usual and it has a built in gun cabinet. We are not hunters so I thought of adding glass shelves to the cabinets to store my doll collection. Then I thought I could make this hall function into a mini library too. Though I could not put the heavy books in the cabinet b/c of their weight they are on top of our home office wall cabinets the room that goes through those big wooden columns. Alas! I am done and my ideas are now a reality. What do you think?, Living Rooms Design

  • Cocoa for Coco, This is our first angel's room. We picked out everything by hand and what we couldn't find (i.e. the bedding) we had made. Its a great mix of new and old, classic and modern! The wall saying is a vinyl decal that goes all the way around the room (a bit on each wall). The little corner chandelier is on a dimmer which made for a great night light and made enchanting light-play on the ceiling. The bedding and window treatments we originally found on Posh Tots, but the crib sheet was silk (?!) and it cost over $800 for the set. Instead, we found 3 yards online for $24/yd and sewed it all ourselves! We found a vintage pattern for something called a "crib liner" and it has been GREAT! It basically runs down one side of the crib, under the mattress, and back up the other side, then flips over the crib rail and affixes with velcro tabs or ties. We never have to worry about her getting limbs stuck in the rails but its thin enough that if she rolls up against it she can easily breathe through!, Nurseries Design

  • My fru fru kitchen, I know this is not everyone's cup of tea but the before kitchen had orange cabinets, fake brick, brown paneling and brown appliances. I painted the cabinets white and added the fru fru. It does go with the style of the home which is a small victorian type house. We will be redoing this in a year or two but I still think it's pretty., Kitchens Design

  • Twin Nursery for My Little Angels, Our prayers have been answered and our miracle babies are due in July! I have been working on the nursery for three months and it is 99% finished! As a final touch, I would like to add our girls' monograms over the changing table... but we haven't chosen their names yet! :) I’m a real “girly girl”, so I wanted to create a sweet, feminine, and pretty space for my daughters. The colors I chose were a light pink, taupe and soft white. I wanted to use these colors because I felt they were soft… very calming and soothing. (perfect for rest and relaxation) I found this toile fabric that has a picture of two angels on it, and I thought it was perfect since we were having two little girls. I also really liked the bows on the toile. So, angels and bows became the “theme” of the room. I sewed all of the bedding and curtains myself. I mixed old, vintage, bargain items along with some with new, “splurge” items. I really enjoyed working on this room and I hope you enjoy the photos! Thanks for looking! ***Update: We chose the names and I uploaded some pics of the monogram signs!, Nurseries Design
