  • Pretty in Pink Nursery, We went with a pink and brown theme for our baby girl's nursery. We wanted something that was functional and not cluttered. We also wanted something she could grow into as a toddler and young girl so we stayed away from common baby themes. After hours of painting shopping and decorating the space is almost ready! Additions still to be made: chocolate brown chair her name over the crib and large picture frames to be filled with pictures of out sweet baby girl!, Nurseries Design

  • Minnie Mouse Pink Disney with Mickey Too, My husband is a big Mickey Mouse fan so when we found out we were having a daughter he just had to do his room in Minnie Mouse. He's an electriction but is also a great artist so he painted the murals himself. First he drew them freehand using shirts we got at the shower for ideas then he painted them. The hardest part was choosing murals that she will like for several years to come although my husband doesn't care he said he'll just paint over it if she wants something new. , Nurseries Design

  • Noah Ryder's charming "blue room" with dots, Once I found out I was pregnant (to the amazement of myself & the doctors..it's a miracle of God)....I started dreaming of my baby...and then of a nursery for him to enjoy! Blue & Brown is my favorite combo of colors...so I started with that palate. With the help of my niece, I chose fabric and made the nursery bedding myself. The armoire is from a thrift store.. which was painted and updated by my handy husband. The dresser/changing table is a find from an antique store. The letters for NOAH were found individually on ebay. I was working on a limited budget with limited time...but I'm happy with the way it came out. It's hard to capture with photographs since the room is so small..so hope you can use a little imagination...!, Nurseries Design

  • Norah's Bright, Playful Nursery, I studied ratemyspace.com and ohdeedoh.com when I was pregnant for inspiration for my 1st child's nursery. I wanted to keep it gender neutral and wanted an elephant theme. I also wanted a room that she could grow into. Not just a cutesy room for an infant., Nurseries Design

  • Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dogs' Tails...Bugs and Worms Too!, This is my son Owen's warm and inviting nursery. It's a clean space evoking the theme around bugs, snails, worms and all the little slimy creatures that little boys love. My mom did the murals without any patterns or stencils. There is also a touch of the moon and stars overlooking our little creatures of nature. The daybed (Ikea) opens to a king sized bed so we wouldn't have to give up our guest bedroom. The custom paint really excentuates the shape of the room and gave us an opportunity to display our color palatte nicely. So far, it's been functional as well as esthetically pleasing for Owen. He loves to stare at the bugs (the stripes are pleasing to newborns)!, Nurseries Design

  • Silas' Sanctuary, This is the nursery for our soon-to-be adopted newborn son Silas. It was a labor of love to decorate and was done on a very small budget. The room is about 100 sf so we had to get creative with space planning! We used paint and the addition of stipes as an inexpensive way to transform the room. We thought the stripes would give the room movement and make the space feel bigger. We welcome any comments on how to enhance the space. , Nurseries Design

  • Penthouse Playroom, Our house is three stories tall and pretty narrow (urban contemporary patio home). We've turned the entire third floor into a play area for my son and any of his little guests. Right now he's two, so the space is designed to accommodate kids close to that age. As he grows old the space will change with his interests.

The space is made up of one large open play area, a full bathroom, and a bedroom., Boys' Rooms Design
