We went with a pink and brown theme for our baby girl's nursery. We wanted something that was functional and not cluttered. We also wanted something she could grow into as a toddler and young girl so we stayed away from common baby themes. After hours of painting shopping and decorating the space is almost ready! Additions still to be made: chocolate brown chair her name over the crib and large picture frames to be filled with pictures of out sweet baby girl!

We didn't want super girly for our new little girl, so we went with green, yellow, blue, and white with Pottery Barn Kids Alphabet soup. Most of the furniture is repurposed and painted.

This is the nursery for our soon-to-be adopted newborn son Silas. It was a labor of love to decorate and was done on a very small budget. The room is about 100 sf so we had to get creative with space planning! We used paint and the addition of stipes as an inexpensive way to transform the room. We thought the stripes would give the room movement and make the space feel bigger. We welcome any comments on how to enhance the space.

We converted a spare bedroom into a nursery for our first child. All new trim to match the rest of our house, including new window sills. All new paint: minty green on 3 walls and ceiling and a hot pink on the crib wall. Shelving from Ikea. Closet system from Lowe's. Wall sconces from Ikea, hardwired into the room's electrical. And new berber carpeting topped off with a small area rug from Target. Vinyl wall graphics designed by us and produced by www.scribbleoneverything.com

Bright and fun I started to design this room based on the colors and a couple key items from my own nursery (hanging quilt and mobile before I knew I was having a boy. Everything came together and now we are waiting for him to arrive in a few weeks!

Please don't be too harsh!! We worked really hard on her room considering we had a budget to go by and we both work two jobs so time was a factor. I love it!!

We wanted a more modern serene baby nursery for our second child. We love black and white and already had green walls. It all just fit together and we love it so much. So peaceful!!

I studied ratemyspace.com and ohdeedoh.com when I was pregnant for inspiration for my 1st child's nursery. I wanted to keep it gender neutral and wanted an elephant theme. I also wanted a room that she could grow into. Not just a cutesy room for an infant.

This is my son Owen's warm and inviting nursery. It's a clean space evoking the theme around bugs, snails, worms and all the little slimy creatures that little boys love. My mom did the murals without any patterns or stencils. There is also a touch of the moon and stars overlooking our little creatures of nature. The daybed (Ikea opens to a king sized bed so we wouldn't have to give up our guest bedroom. The custom paint really excentuates the shape of the room and gave us an opportunity to display our color palatte nicely. So far, it's been functional as well as esthetically pleasing for Owen. He loves to stare at the bugs (the stripes are pleasing to newborns!

Our house is three stories tall and pretty narrow (urban contemporary patio home. We've turned the entire third floor into a play area for my son and any of his little guests. Right now he's two, so the space is designed to accommodate kids close to that age. As he grows old the space will change with his interests.
The space is made up of one large open play area, a full bathroom, and a bedroom.

Hi, I'm Brina from http://www.TYBinc.com. My husband and I love the islands - but no so much the primary colors and gawdy prints that are associated with Hawaiian themes. We used Pottery Barn Kids Santa Barbara Surf bedding as inspiration and went PINK!
