  • Before & After Cape Cod to Colonial, I wanted a porch, and then we kept going. Changed all of the windows, changed front from vinyl siding to real bricks.   • Kitchen BEFORE: From yellow & brown to calming blues, We are remodeling our recently purchased Cape Cod Style Home. Our kitchen was once a mustard yellow with brown trimming and the cabinets were a dark brown stain. My husband and I sanded down the cabinets and stained them a lighter color removed the wooden laminate countertops and replaced them with silestone and replaced the linoleum floors with teak hardwood flooring. We also removed some cabinets to open up the kitchen to the living room. We are still in the process of decorating. , Kitchens Design

  • Tiny Powder Room on a $250 Budget, This is a tiny powder room in our 1934 Cape Cod style fixer-upper on the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. We've got a lot to do to the house and we're doing it ourselves so I have to update on the cheap! This project cost $250 and included absolutely everything. The best deal was a box of Swiftlock flooring I got for $9 at Lowes- last box of discontinued style. The paint color is called "Broad Peak" by Dutch Boy color number 6I-5, Bathrooms Design

  • My New England c. 1789 Living Room, New England Cape Cod - circa 1789. The tall case clock pre-dates the house and is a favorite piece. The living room is long narrow and abbreviated by two doorways and a large fireplace. I broke the space into a "conversation area" and a "media area." I was unsure at first about the Italian leather pieces but they're just so incredibly comfortable and the style was clean traditional and minimal. I had the loveseat covered with a chenille paisley fabric and love how it turned out. Thanks!, Living Rooms Design

  • "Nana's Way", This is our secondary home in Maine. We just painted it hunter green with cream trim and a "Ladybug Red" door. It used to be light gray with white trim and a dark gray door. I found a chair for 10 bucks at a flea market and painted it to match the door and painted an old container I had to match trim and planted geraniums in it.   • Chesapeake Cape Cod, We are in our very early twenties and we bought our home when we were 19 and 17.I love my home and I expect it to change a lot..hopefully soon. We've been married for 3 years and been together for 5. We have 2 kids and three dogs.
