  • Ayana's Sweet and Modern Nursery, I am a lover of contemporary living. Ever since I thought of making our daughter's nursery I was looking for something that looks modern and contemporary. After my rigorous research I finally settled down to "Gray and Yellow" theme, Gray was to give the room that elegance and Yellow was to diffuse that freshness and incandescence for a girl's room. I loved how the combination was vivid as well as graceful.

However, I wanted to keep a balance between splurging for the nursery and 'thinking too much'. I think I was able to get to it finally!

I got my inspiration from all the beautiful projects that have been submitted already. I had previously done my son's room, and I also wanted Ayana's room to be as pretty as she herself is.

  • Baby Girl Nursery - Updated, I first posted this space before my baby was born. Now she is a busy toddler and her room has grown and changed as much as she has! I thought you all might like to see how it has evolved. To all of you that were concerned that a baby wouldn't be able to sleep in such a vibrant room...happily that was never a problem. Our daughter has been an excellent sleeper from the very start. :), Nurseries Design

  • Baby Victor's Modern Nursery, Oh what fun! I am so glad to be here today sharing photos from my latest project, baby Victor’s nursery. The space feels so airy, but cozy. There is a beautiful texture wall made from wood and white 3D wall tiles. A little bit of green, some gray and a touch of red brings life to the space. The room is a continuation of the design style of my home. But here it has a whimsical feel. With lion and horse figures, animal art prints, and a fox decal, this nursery is a woodland heaven.

Here is a list of where you can find all the lovely items in this nursery:
- Crib: IKEA
- Curtains: Pottery Barn
- Red V Metal Letter: Pottery Barn Teen
- Animal Art Prints: Sharon Montrose
- Print Frames: Target
- Crib Bumper: Dwell Studio
- Elephant Photo Frame: Dwell Studio
- 3D Wall Tiles: 2Modern.com
- ABC and Number Canvasses: TrendyPeas.com

  • Owl-fully Precious!, When we moved, my little girl was 15 mos! We wanted to transition her into a toddler bed but this room wouldnt accomodate a toddler bed with a crib, so the crib had to go, and when we found this gorgeous bed at the Broyhill Furniture Outlet, the idea of a toddler bed went out the window as well! Luckily she stayed in the bed and never had a transitioning issue. The other furniture is from the 1970's and is Bassett. It was my parents and was repainted for her nursery! My daughter obviously has an owl/fairy/garden theme!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • My Little Girl Butterfly Tea Party, I had a tea party for six little girls. Ages eight to six. I wanted it in our garden so that they could be Butterflies! I wanted the lush garden plants along with the sunflowers, to give it a Wonderland appeal! I had to lower my table into the ground to be a better height for them. Then I placed rugs down around the table to help make it cozy. I found the large red flowers in a thrift store that added to my inspiration! My Daughter brought over her tulip plant and her Balcony flowers that we placed around the edges to help it feel like they were in the garden. As well as adding color in this spot. Keeping the Butterfly theme in mind, I painted some bright flowers on a board and hand made pretty colorful butterflies so we could play "pin the butterfly on the Flower"! This was placed on an old white door, at a height all the girls would be able to reach. The painted flowers also added a spot of color on my back wall. This back wall is the end of our very old carport. It has never been finished. It just had misc. boards nailed up. So for the party I decided to make lemonade out of my lemons by painting those boards lovely shades of tans and greens and purples! Then we hung up an old nine pane window and other out door items to finish the wall. For added detail around the Tea table,we hung blue lights up with colorful wind catchers to spin and catch the light.I am a fan of the primary colors so I found some lovely blue and pretty red satin fabric that i used as the table cloth. ( No finished edges i just threw it on there) Then to pull it all together I place a Teapot themed runner down the middle. I had collected a child's china tea set in the Moss Rose design. I used it along with another rose tea pot for the girls. The Large red flower in the middle of the table set it off! I then sprinkled pink glitter over the table. At each place at the table, we placed a colorful mask, and hand made antenna's ( I made). Then on the back of the chairs each girl received a handmade tutu ( My Daughter made) as well as the colorful butterfly wings! I did not want all the same color of wings, because this was not formal event and there are different colored butterflies in a garden! I also had the Mom's come along with a grandma or two. So naturally I had to have a table for them as well!I It was off to the side, and blended with the butterfly theme. I think it turned out Gorgeous! The day was Beautiful as well as Magical!, Gardens Design
