  • What's Red and Velvet with Pillows All Over? My couch!, My husband found this red couch. I started from there and found a soft yellow color for the walls. Eventually, I will convince my husband to repaint the room a slightly deeper yellow. I think it would be warmer with less contrast. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. Do you think it's too many dark colors? I realize red is a bold color choice for furniture. Although I'm not sure this couch screams ME I do like it and would love to read what you think is and isn't working in my space.

  • Formal, warm and inviting living room, This is the room that would typically be called the formal living room. We are casual and have young children. I think the space is well suited to our lifestyle. It is a perfect space for conversation or to curl up and read a book. After dinner parties we generally circulate into the space for after dinner drinks and dessert. I still need to change out the previous drapery. It is not my style. It does match to some degree so it has been a little farther down on my to do list. I'll get them done, hopefully this year. Enjoy and thanks for looking!, Living Rooms Design

  • HELP Tired of dark leather furniture, I NEED YOUR HELP. I was tired of the dark brown leather furniture, but can't rationalize buying new therefore I tried to lighten it up with the new area rug, blue/green curtains and now new lamps. I need your opinion about the 4 pieces of furniture that do not match each other: Bombay, small table, chest and the 1920s radio cabinet. I just purchased the radio cabinet to hold and hide my stereo. Can I keep these 4 pieces? Do they go with the rug, curtains, and leather sofas? Is my living room out of style?. What do I need in this room and what do I need to get rid of? Your honest opinion is appreciated. I uploaded 3 photos of this living room., Living Rooms Design
