  • Cosmetic Kitchen Update on a Budget, with Old World Charm, Updated on a budget. This 1990's outdated mauve kitchen was updated. This is just a quick cosmetic update not a kitchen remodel (would have loved that). Old set in fluorescent ceiling lights become a tray ceiling with a pot rack. Same cabinets with updated hardware. New countertops on a budget that are formicia with a granite look and edge. Backsplash that is more old world than new. Ceramic tile floor in a brick style pattern. Recessed lights changed to pendant lights. Storage cabinets that were bought in a discount warehouse store stacked side by side and given the same hardware as cabinets. New slab pantry door and dummy handle very budget friendly. New sink and faucet, and new counter stools complete the look. Would have loved updated stainless appliances but wasn't in this friendly budget., Kitchens Design

  • My Master Bedroom- Blue ,white and neutrals, Master bedroom with tons of budget friendly ideas. Because the mixture of old and new and the unique peices found in antique shops and auctions over the years it is timeless. The room was built 12 years ago on the 1865 farmhouse. Changing decorative pillows and buying a new lamp or two the room can be freshened up easily. I change the bedding with the blankets and sheets beings mix and matchable every time I change the sheets. I have collected some of these things over 30 years. In another house they can be used in different ways. The sheets are stored under the bed in baskets. I had the bed custom made a bit higher to allow for the storage baskets under it. We all have our favorite things.. I hope you like mine.!, Bedrooms Design

The living room ceiling flows into the hallentry and kitchen. How do I paint a ceiling that never ends? We have burgundy leather sofas and honey colored wood. We love warm/spice colors. What color should we paint the walls? We'd like to have some separation between the living room and dining area but yet have it go together. Window treatments?? , Living Rooms Design

  • Bar Bathroom Done in Style with Faux Granite Painting, This is our half bath in the bar area. I faux granite painted the vanity top in here too. It only cost me $19! I just love the shine it adds to the room. It makes this 14yr. old contractor oak vanity seem like a rich granite bathroom sink! The faucets I even painted oil rubbed bronze spray paint. I spray them while they were even attached to the sink. Plastic was just put down around it. I continued my blue glassware collection into here as with the bar area. , Bathrooms Design
