  • Relaxing Blue, We have been renovating and remodeling our house for a year. It's an older home built in 1950. It used to be a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom and now it is a 3 bedrm 2 bathrm. This is the master bathroom that we added on to the back of the house. My boyfriend has done most of the work himself and I can't wait to finally be able to enjoy all his hard work! , Bathrooms Design

  • Horizontal Stripes and Polka Dots for Girls: Pink, Teal, Lime, Tan, Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Modern and Organized Office/Crafts Room!, It took me three months to design my crafts room and office. I looked for versatile storage, that was neat and organized and easily accessible. I wanted the paint to be bold and vibrant, but not annoying. I also created various areas in the room for certain crafts like; scrapbooking, gift wrapping, painting, sewing, and bow making. I love this room and spend hours everyday creating! , Home Offices Design

  • 80's disco bathroom! HELP!!!!, I need advice.....This bath was probably considered very "hip" when the house was built in the 1980's - floor to ceiling mirrors - even the trim around the windows is mirrored!!! The spa tub is surrounded by 3 big windows overlooking the backyard - and more mirrors....... :) not to mention the cedar ceiling.....The shower/toilet part of the bath is very small in comparison and has no door! The vanity part has been updated with new cabinets, counter top & lighting. I can't figure out why the lighting wasn't centered over the sinks though. Basically i need to know what i should do about those MIRRORS!!!! A friend said all we need is to add a disco ball!, Bathrooms Design

  • Help with problem wall, Small Master Bath with double sink needs help with a window placed in the middle of the vanity wall. Not much money to spend. Could I frame the existing mirrors? Should they be smaller. The spaces are not the same exact width, so purchased mirrors would be out. Our style is traditional with modern. (ie: Antiques and
Marcel Breuer) The window is covered with Silhouette shades (doesn't show up in picture) and a cornice that matches the connected bedroom's window.

In the winter I put several small bonsai trees on the space between the sinks. This is my only south window, so that's where they must be. So don't suggest I add some decoration on the counter. Though I guess I could until the end of September when the bonsias come inside., Bathrooms Design

  • Positively Pretty!, This is a very sophisticated bedroom to a teenage girl. The goal was to make it as "pretty" as I could for her using light neutrals infused with lavender and pink. Metallic touches make the room shimmer! And once she leaves the house the parents have a great guest suite., Bedrooms Design

  • Beach Cottage Chic - No Kitsch Allowed!, I created a sanctuary for myself up on one of the Great Lakes. I live in LA so having a serene environment to escape to was the source of my design inspiration. White slipcovers are machine washable and keep the mood light.
