  • Habitat for Humanity Design Challenge, Our local habitat created a design challenge called Restore Restyle. All items in the room had to be from the habitat store. We were given a 10' x 10' space to start. The desk was made from a bed and door. The rug was made with shredded sheets and landscape netting. The hanging spheres were made from two builder grade lights glued together and spray painted., Home Offices Design

  • Living Room Renovation, This project was a complete home renovation. This living room was outdated with green carpet and small sliding doors that led to a sun porch which made the space feel very dark. We added a wall of doors to the sun porch which brought in natural light. We also added a hallway with built-ins and a powder room that leads to the kitchen. This really enhanced the traffic pattern throughout the first floor. The stair case was also completely rebuilt., Living Spaces Design

  • Boys Love Color Too, My boys' colorful big boy room. They are 5 and 4. The room is a little small, but we made it work. They like all of the colors. I like the cheeriness. I painted the union jack dresser on a whim, after seeing one on Pinterest. I made the transportation wall art (after seeing them on Land of Nod), and painted the letters for their previous nursery. The lamps came from the Goodwill. I saw some similar at Target, so I bought these and painted them a matching yellow from their original brass color. I bought the Metro map since we moved here from Maryland. I was able to frame it pretty cheaply using the "build-a-frame" frame end pieces at Michaels, and having Lowe's cut the glass to size (less than $15) , Boys' Rooms Design

  • Nautical, Under a very small budget we took white stripes across a dark blue background. We added letters, chair rail, and beautiful details. All the bedding was a homemade gift from a family member.

Additional requested details:

The paint and primer was BEHR deep royal blue. Hate me for saying it, but it was a headache because it was really bad paint. We ended up calling customer service afterwards and they told us we needed to put on really thin coats. If we did it over again we would probably go a little lighter or use a Ralph Lauren paint.

The crib is a Creations Summer Evenings crib in black. We actually love this piece.

We found the dresser at a JcPenney outlet for only $80. The legs are actually for another piece of furniture.

The rocking chair is from Kmart and only cost around $80 as well.

***Tip: If anyone is thinking about doing stripes, make sure you use an acrylic to seal the edge. You can put a little bead on it and press down with your finger. We found this technique out afterwards, but it would have saved us hours., Boys' Rooms Design

  • Exquisite Outdoor Environment, The great clients of this gorgeous coastal estate allowed us to design their property in the same exquisite style and manner of their interior environment.
One of the major design components of this design is the grand and majestic Cabana that encompasses multiple functions and areas of luxury retreat. The Cabana has a luxurious restroom and shower, with an elegant changing room that even has personal lockers for guests to use! Also included under the roof of the Cabana is a large dining room, an opulent cook center, and a quaint fireplace room with optimum views of the ocean and coastline. Some of the other fantastic amenities include multiple pottery fountains, a fabulous pool and infinity spa, and large dining and lounge patios. Also included in this estate grounds is an area for the clients 'secret' garden, an elegant and functional citrus and vegetable terrace garden, and even a sheltered courtyard with a grand fireplace that is framed by matching elegant pottery fountains, Home Exterior Design

  • Surfer Boys Room, This is my son Zanes new bedroom. His brother moved out so it's his space now. Zane loves the beach!
I have recieved many questions about how to do the mural, what are the colors and who made the are the answers:
Mural: Print the straight on pic I posted. Put it on an oldfashioned overhead projector (often can be rented from school or library) and trace the projected image on to the blank wall.
Colors: Took the quilt to Sherwin Williams and had them make the colors in the quilt. MOST paint places can do this so pick the colors you like!
Surfboards: email he made them for me off an ebay listing:-), Boys' Rooms Design

  • A navy blue big boy room!, It was time...we adored our son's nursery, but it wasn't working for a three-year-old. :) I choose a navy blue for the walls, with tons of white accents (board and batten treatment and molding) to keep the room bright. The room is accented with red, yellow, light blue and brushed nickel accessories.

  • Tiffany Room, I wish I could find the before of this room but it had old blue wallpaper and a brown shag rug. It was a spare room so I decided to turn it into a closet. It still needs a new light and the curtains need to be hung at the ceiling level but for the most part it is done. This has got to be my favorite room in the house. , Closets Design
