  • Living/Dining Mess, Gosh I could use some help here. I want to create a cozy living room area for conversation and also have a separate eating area. I painted this rich purple color which I love but I'm not sure where to go from here. I also love the chandelier over our table our new piano the fireplace and the corner cupboard. Help me!!!   • A Transportation Inspired Toddler's Room, It was a definite challenge for us to design this odd-shaped space for our four year old boy who loves all things that beep, vroom and choo choo! A trundle bed hides in a private little nook complete with fisherman inspired lighting and madras plaid curtains hung w/ nautical rope and galvanized pipe. Nautical flags painted on wood hang behind the daybed. The room is painted with a faux linen technique mimicking the look of a more expensive grasscloth. Train wall shelves, and cubbys with primary colored baskets help conceal clutter and lots of battery operated cars, trucks and trains! A bright patterned rug was used to try and warm up the space. The floor is a dark tobacco colored hand scraped hardwood. We have a pair of vintage looking airplanes hung from his ceiling, and a couple of comfy chairs that are just the right size for the four and under crowd. We hope that our son will love this space for many years to come! Hope you like what we did and If you have any feedback, we'd love to hear it :), Boys' Rooms Design

  • Mid-Century Yellow and Gray Bathroom, The house was built in 1956 and we moved in just under a year ago. This full bathroom is on the main living floor; there is a full master bath downstairs. All tile and fixtures are original; all we changed was the wall color and added the accessories. Before the yellow the room felt cold and cavernous. Not any more!, Bathrooms Design

  • Traditional Meets Transitional, Thank God for Insurance...the day before thanksgiving, my husband and I came home to a busted water heater in our attic that flooded the entire living room. My first reaction was to totally freak out. My second reaction, however, was pure excitement when I realized this meant a brand new living room. So, this is the finished product after new hardwood floors, new furniture, and some new accents. I wanted an up-to-date look with a touch of traditional flare. I love the high back couch and chair with the bright, fun pillows. The rug was a steal from overtock.com, and many of the accents I painted cream to pull everything together...All for our $1000 deductible:), Living Rooms Design

  • Sad Little Room to Va Va Voom, Gatlinburg, TN Nightly Rental Chalet. This very dated space was in dire need of vast attention. It did not do the spectacular view outside justice.
