  • New place, same dilemma , Well, we just moved into our new space, and I have a dilemma with our desks. I have no idea what to do with them because of the long rectangular shape of the living room, and there is no where else to put our desks. I can lose the side chair. I was thinking of maybe putting the desks in the corner behind it in an L-shape. I have no idea how to define an "office zone" with the dimensions of the living room. :{, Living Rooms Design

  • Help me finish my Den/Library, Please!, This space would be a home office if we worked from home but instead we use it as a little den and library. We've painted, built the shelves and just recently put up the curtains and new white shag area rug. My questions are as follows: Do the blinds look ok under the panels? something doesn't exactly look right to me. Should we move the TV from the bookshelves and place on another less noticable wall? How would a hanging light look in the center of the room? Need to replace the desk- any suggestions on where to find it? I'm thinking writing desk. Would desk look better in front of the bookshelves? We need to keep the couch for a while, but could get a new ottoman or something else to go in front of it-suggestions, please!!!, Other Spaces Design

  • Bail Out My Detroit Kitchen, My kitchen has yellow walls, old wood cabnets, a 1970's fridge, a fake hardwood floor, 80's blinds, a nice pantry and so much more...I think it would be great if the wall that seperates the family room could be torn down so when I have company it would be more open...HELP I dont know what to do!!
