  • Black, white, and sunshine!, My kitchen was dark due to a patio roof outside and I wanted to brighten it up and add a little pizzaz with black and white decor. How to do both? • Simple Pleasures & Sweet Dreams, Our bed room is a place to rest an rejuvenate at least until the kids jump in the bed anyway! This room is light blue with touches of black / white Toile. The bed has an antique black finish and is distressed to look aged. Silver accents highlight our room and a few crystals add that touch of sparkle. , Bedrooms Design

  • Black and white with pink all over, This is my daughter's room. She had the "Princess" room for 5 years, and it was time for a change. I wanted something that did not have a "theme" so that it could grow more with her. I could not find a black and white room I liked, so I went on the hunt for ideas. Hope you like it as much as we do. =0), Girls' Rooms Design

  • Tessa Jean's Room, Tessa Jean's room is a collection of vintage treasures picked up in thrift stores, beloved items from my own childhood, generous hand-me-downs, and even a couple of new things.

Tessa Jean is 10 months old now, but a year ago we had so much fun turning this tiny, oddly shaped room from our office into her nursery.

The iron bed in her room was mine when I was child and it was intended to be a place where I would nap while she naps. I don't think that's happened once. Instead, it's the place where we read bedtime stories and fold laundry.

On her chandelier, I've strung up more than a dozen of her rejected pacifiers. She was very particular about the ones she'd accept but the candy-colored binkies were too cute to toss out.

The swivel chair next to her crib is a thrift store find and the felt map of the United States was picked up at a yard sale before I was even pregnant. It's my favorite thing in her room.

Almost all of the books on her shelves were mine as a child.

The changing table was on sale at Pottery Barn Kids as a floor model. Score!

Her crib bedding, from DwellStudio, was probably my biggest splurge. I am obsessed with it.

Hope you guys enjoy the nursery!

  • Eclectic Black and White Master Bedroom, This is our master bedroom. It has been a work-in-progress for quite a while but its coming together nicely I think. I had practically NO budget so just about everything is thrift and/or handmade. I have a few little things left to do still so its not 100% complete. Even when it is, I'm sure I'll want to change it up still!, Bedrooms Design

  • Dark Nightmare, This is a small kitchen that has black cabinents and a white counter top. It also has mixed match black and white appliances. Not very functional or entertaining with a family of 6. Tried to put handles on the cabinents to make it alittle more appealing, however, it was a issue by the kitchen sink where the dishwasher opens. , Kitchens Design

  • Winter Shabby White slipcovered cottage chic, Updated one of my living rooms. The chill is in the air and I no longer wanted to see big roses. It's shabby yet chic with lots of black and white. I took away all the garden items that were pink. • Liam's Royal Frog Prince Nursery, My daughter-n-law and I wanted a whimsical type nursery but still wanted it to be masculine. We searched and searched for some type of inspiration to help us with a theme. Finally we came across a photo of a little girl kissing a frog prince and the theme was set. We know from the beginning that we wanted a black and white color combination and finally settle on green for our third color. From that point we let our imaginations flow. We added striped to the bottom part of the wall by taping off 12 in. sections and painting in alternating colors of black & white. The top border of the wall we created a connecting diamond shaped pattern using a diamond stencil I created out of cardboard. I used a small circle sponge to add metallic gold dots where each diamond meets. Using colors in Fresh Parsley, Black & White in a satin finish. I custom designed and handmade all the curtains, accent pillows, placemat and changing table cover.
The Chandelier was custom created by Whimsical Collections as a replica to the custom painting we had painted by hilariagalleries .
Other accessories bought at various stores throughout our process for creating this nursery.

This room was a true labor of Love. I enjoyed every minute difficult or easy in the process of designing this nursery, from the time I stitched my first stitch to the very last drop of paint.
I wanted my grandson to have a room worthy of a prince that he is. I created and did most of the work with the inspiration and ideas of my daughter-n-law to help along the way.
