  • Repost: Found the inspiration, I eliminated the small accessories following your suggestions. I think it's better. It also gave me the idea to frame a handmade doily made by husband's Mom before she passed away. Better to display something that means so much to you than stash it away in a box or drawer. I also eliminated the hats on adjacent wall. Replaced with picture. Took out chair. So let me know if you think it'sbetter. Thanks for all your suggestions., Bathrooms Design

  • Our Humble Deck Garden, I know this doesn't hold a candle to the beautiful gardens I've seen on this site but I thought I'd share some little snippets of the plants and flowers on our deck and surrounding areas. I just wish our summer season lasted a bit longer.. Here in New England we blink and the summer is gone (at least it seems that way to me!), Patios & Decks Design

  • A little bit of paradise, After not having front landscaping for years I finally broke down and decided to do it myself (with a little help from my friend and her son). A couple weeks before we planned to redo the yard I started looking for plants and get ideas. Once I found the calalillies in Pink & Yellow I knew I was on the right track. I wanted something that would be hearty yet compliment the colors so I chose to accent the flowers with Hosta. We placed an arbor in the center so that puple clamantis could climb and a birdbath underneat so our feathered friends would always be refreshed. The final touch was the Bistro set and more importantly the Pink Ribbon. My neighbor gave me the bird bath prior to his passing from cancer and his mother in law has beat breast cancer, not once, but twice. So I have dedicated my front yard landscaping to the memory of her husband Donnie and will continue to root her mother on when needed (if needed) again., Yards Design

  • My Create Space, So imagaine my surprise after buying the Spring 2008 issue of Creative Home but to see my sewing room and name on page 9. How did this happen? I know they must have taken the picture from this website! This is a room under the stairwell in our finished basement. There are built-ins from the previous owner/builder. I dressed this room up and use it to sew and paint and just create. I love this little room., Bedrooms Design
