We did a complete kitchen make over. Replaced all cabinets appliances counter tops and floor. This kitchen had been the same since the house was built in the 1970s.

My husband and I had a lot of fun creating this Story Book Kitchen. To help come up with a color scheme he made drawings of the space and I colored them..We repurposed the cupboards from the manin house added a rescued vintage table and chairs and painted the Hoosier cabinet Bright Red!!

I just moved into my house 1 month ago. I've already painted 6 of the rooms thus far (really horrible colors throughout. The kitchen is a nice size, but needs a remodel. I'd like to keep it as eco-friendly as possible.
My style (romantic according to the style quiz tends towards classic/traditional (warm woods, sophisticated but useful design.
I'd love to try doing much of this myself, but I've never done anything like this before and would love some advice.
My thoughts thus far:
cooktop: 36 in gas (currently 30" electric
floors: cork or bamboo (renewable and easy on the feet/back
lighting: track or recessed in the ceiling, undermount for the cabinets
countertop: granite in a warm tone (maybe with flecks of black
appliances: I know SS is popular, but I simply don't like it in a warm/wood kitchen. I think black (assuming it can be pulled in from a cabinet glaze or granite countertop looks nicer
cabinets: pine stained honey/maple with a coffee-type glaze.
Questions:
The current cabinets are cheap (plywood doors and bottoms that sag. I don't see how I can refinish/reuse them. Refacing was an option, but they don't change the inside of the cabinets, which means the bottoms would still sag. Anyone have any other thoughts?
I cook/bake a lot. Love the double wall oven, but hate the microwave taking up counter space. Do I install a wall oven/microwave and do a nice vent over the cooktop? Or go with the standard microwave over the cooktop and keep the double wall oven?
Any thoughts on what to do with the corner between the sink and the wall ovens? It's awkward to use with the ovens right there.
And if you've read this far, THANK YOU for taking the time!!

This kitchen has never seen any improvments since the house was built in 1963. We bought the house last spring and had a really tight budget (less than $4,000.00 and this is what we did.

We bought this house, which was a foreclosure, a couple of months ago. It came without a kitchen! I've included the before pictures, and the after. It was just finished 2 days ago, so I haven't added any accesories yet, right now I'm just trying to get used to actually having a kitchen! First house and first renovation, a great experience!

These are the before pictures of my kitchen. I plan to keep the layout the same but add more lighting, new counter tops, back-splash, appliances and flooring.
I have added crown molding and light valance trim to the cabinets and installed an over-the-range microwave so far.
I'm looking for some natural and "green" ideas. Please send me your thoughts.
The room is a good size and separates our living room and sitting room. The back wall is continuous to both adjacent rooms so I'm struggling with a paint color. HELP HGTV and rate my space users!

We had a standard kitchen in our 5 year old house. We went with Durasupreme brand cabinets made of lyptus wood a chestnut finish and a charcoal glaze. The granite countertops are "carmel". The farm sink is a Kohler cast iron single bowl with a Kohler faucet. The stainless appliances are GE from their "Cafe" line. New floors are hardwood Millstone brand hickory butternut with a hand scraped finish. Wall color is Behr paint-Pumpkin Spice. Kudos to my wife & Lou from Kitchenland Las Vegas.
