  • New Bathtub, My bathroom had the original 60's blue tub that really needed a facelift.I decided to use BathFitters and cover the tub. Eventually I will have the toilet replaced with a white one as well. The previous owners had a love affair with wallpaper. Every surface room was wallpapered! I'm talking walls doors and switch covers. The only thing not covered were the ceilings. In Feb 2007 I decided to paint the walls using a dark blue that matched the dark blue in the floor tiles., Bathrooms Design

  • Main Bathroom, This is our only fully functional bathroom - for a family of five. The fixtures and decor are original to the house - not our style at all! The bathroom has a tub/shower combination, toilet, vanity with one sink, and a linen closet.

The way the room is laid out - when both the main bathroom door and the linen closet door are open at the same time, the knobs get caught on each other and it's difficult to get them back apart. The knobs have also worn holes in each of the other's doors. There are also two doors into this bathroom - one from the hallway and one that goes into what used to be the master bedroom. We've closed off that door and don't use it - partially because that's now two of our daughters' bedroom but also because we need the wall space in both rooms. Having that extra door seems unnecessary since the bathroom's right next to the bedroom anyway.

The flooring is linoleum, and in 5+ years I've been unable to tell if it's supposed to be yellowish in nature, or if it's yellowed from age. I also hate the caulking around the sink and along the tub, and the grime that I just can't seem to get rid of in all of the corners of the floor. My least favorite thing in the bathroom though is the vanity - the countertop is textured, and almost impossible to keep looking clean. Our bathroom needs help!, Bathrooms Design

  • Modern Bathroom with a Doorless Shower and Tropic Brown Granite, After years of living with etched glass walls with brass trim we tore it all out and replaced it with a modern walk-in doorless shower. The rest of the bathroom was updated with tropic brown counters, vessel sinks, and Nexus cabinets in brown. We paneled our bathtub with a simple nexus cover panel and replaced all of the brass with chrome. Our shower and bath tile was accented with a strip of gray marble mosaic with a travertine liner above and below. The shower pan was replaced with the marble mosaic as well. The floor tile was removed and replaced with Armstrong vinyl tiles to match the field wall tile on the diagonal in a brick pattern. The big glass mirror was replaced with modern mirrored medicine cabinets. This is a very low maintenance bathroom., Bathrooms Design

  • Master Bath Makeover, The master bath of our newly acquired home was a great size; 10' x 15'. However, it was so boring. White ceramic tile floor, white with tiny navy pinstripe wallpaper, huge white jacuzzi bathtub that stuck out like a sore thumb, shower with no door, 2 white pedestal sinks and absolutely no storage. It was so cold and antiseptic feeling., Bathrooms Design

  • Cribz in South Florida, This used to be a giant closet and we tore the wall out and added a glass door and a fireplace. The vanity I bought on ebay. The outdoor view we are working on the deck outside but you can see the fountain from the tub and the shower. The tub faucet is a waterfall. Over the fire place is a flat screen TV which can be seen from the tub as well. This is my dream bathroom. www.braceybuilding.comThanks, Bathrooms Design

  • Bathtub water feature/garden, This space is directly behind my covered back porch. I was tired of looking at the trees and thought of using an old bathtub as a water feature. Have great oak trees, so seemed like a natural spot for a shade garden to highlight the water feature and a cool space to enjoy nature! There are 7 goldfish in the tub and they're fun to watch., Gardens Design

  • Niches Bring a Little Bling to a Small Master Bath, Drizzled with chocolate accents against a calm neutral pallet made this little master bathroom large in size. Originally, the bathroom had wide red and pink striped walls and a country border around the tub. When we didn't have the budget for a complete bathroom makeover we attempted to remove the stripes and paint the walls red. But the drastic change came after we picked out a neutral color pallet, added splashes of glass mosiacs and chocolate browns, created some custom niches throughout the space for hidden surprises, and made a large custom mirror. We used large rectangular tiles that looked like expensive travertine. The cheap sliding glass shower door was replaced with an extremely tall nearly frameless shower door. We added a glass pocket door for the entry and we took down the walls to the teeny water closet. Before pictures are at the end of the remodel pictures., Bathrooms Design

  • Our New Bathroom - We did it!!, This turned out to be a HUGE project. We went down to the 2x4's and floor joists and completely started over doing every single step our selves even the plumbing and electrical! We made the new bathroom two feet wider than the old - so it really gave us a lot of space in the new bathroom. It was well worth all of the time and money to have this new bathroom. It is bigger more functional and definitely more modern. , Bathrooms Design

  • Beige/chocolate "spa-like" bathroom in Hungary, We recently bought a flat (in Hungary) and are in the process of renovating it.
