My husband and i did this bathroom remodel by ourselves and find it user friendly comfortable and love the end result. The vanity is actually a buffet that we converted and it has more storage than we need. The towel bar to the right of the shower is actually a plant pot holder. The towel tree next to the window is convenient to use(for men. I hope you enjoy our bathroom and thank you for looking.

I posted it lastnight but apparently I posted it wrong because everyone has been telling me that they were unable to leave a comment. Please refer to my first post titled- Main Bathroom to compare. Also please leave suggestions. I have had different reactions to this small space I would love to hear your honest input. Please please be honest!

I had help tearing out my old one piece shower and tub stall. I did all the remodel work myself. Had a plumber for rearranging pipes and putting in the toilet. I installed the white tub, insulated and new walls and tiled the shower walls. Replaced Tub, Shower and Sink faucets and hardware with Bronze ones. Removed the old lenoleum floor tiles and replaced with new ones. Painted the walls, ceiling, vanity, added wainscotting fronts on the cabinet and replaced the hardware with bronze handles and painted the hinges. I tiled the counter top with leftover tiles that I broke up to mozaic it. Created a built in mini tiled shelf by the tub with the tile pieces. Put up crown molding. I painted the light switches and a metal panel behind the vanity lights with bronze paint. Then finally decorated with wainscotting on some areas of the walls and with ocean decos.

Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget.

This is our only fully functional bathroom - for a family of five. The fixtures and decor are original to the house - not our style at all! The bathroom has a tub/shower combination, toilet, vanity with one sink, and a linen closet.
The way the room is laid out - when both the main bathroom door and the linen closet door are open at the same time, the knobs get caught on each other and it's difficult to get them back apart. The knobs have also worn holes in each of the other's doors. There are also two doors into this bathroom - one from the hallway and one that goes into what used to be the master bedroom. We've closed off that door and don't use it - partially because that's now two of our daughters' bedroom but also because we need the wall space in both rooms. Having that extra door seems unnecessary since the bathroom's right next to the bedroom anyway.
The flooring is linoleum, and in 5+ years I've been unable to tell if it's supposed to be yellowish in nature, or if it's yellowed from age. I also hate the caulking around the sink and along the tub, and the grime that I just can't seem to get rid of in all of the corners of the floor. My least favorite thing in the bathroom though is the vanity - the countertop is textured, and almost impossible to keep looking clean. Our bathroom needs help!
