  • Narrow Entryway, This is our front hallway/entryway that is incredibly narrow. Since it's the first thing you see when you walk in, we wanted to make it pretty and obviously, functional. We really started working on it during Apartment Therapy's January Cure, adding hooks, baskets, and decorating the cabinet. It works really well for us and it's nice walking in and seeing something pretty! You can see more details on my blog http://shoes-off-please.com, Other Spaces Design

  • Grey & White Kitchen Remodel, Welcome to my kitchen! My kitchen used to be red with light oak cabinets. I was ready for a new look, so I painted the top cabinets white, the bottom cabinets Cathedral Stone Grey, added a shelf over the sink and used an adhesive stainless steel backsplash to complete the look. I still have a couple touch ups to make, but I hope you like the transformation! Thanks for checking out my new kitchen! :), Kitchens Design

  • Master Bath Mini-Renovation, Since our home was built in 2007, we did not need to renovate the entire room. We felt we could achieve the look we wanted by simply renovating the shower & making minor cosmetic changes. We did it all ourselves & on a budget!

You can check out our blog: duoventures.blogspot.com to see more details on the renovation!

Here's a quick rundown of what we did:
-we removed existing shower stall & expanded about 10 inches
-removed part of the dividing wall between the shower & tub
-tiled the entire shower with travertine subway tiles
-had a frame-less glass door & panel installed
-changed out light fixtures & faucets
-framed existing mirror above the vanity
-painted & added some DIY art, Bathrooms Design

  • Convert Entertainment Center to Sideboard , After getting a new big-screen HDTV, our old oak Entertainment Center was headed to Craig's list for sale, until we saw over 400 listed. My husband and I decided to convert it to a Sideboard for the dining area. A little cleaning and polish, new shelf and backing, new hardware, and 4 great baskets from Pier1 is all it took. Total price of materials was under $150., Dining Rooms Design

  • Braden's Modern Vintage Nursery, We had so much fun decorating our first baby's nursery! The theme is vintage toys along with tricycles, wagons and scooters. We went off of the circle print in the bedding to add the finishing accessories. The furniture has an espresso finish. My husband painted the airplane chandelier (originally pastel) to match the colors of the room. , Nurseries Design

  • The Cat's Office - a.k.a. Collector's Laundry Room, I am a collector with a 16-year-old cat that thinks my laundry room is his office. His very private "restroom area" is hidden behind this 6-ft.-long dresser base that I painted burgandy. The top has a faux marble finish. Since this room is rather large I decorated it with some extra collectibles including a few framed antique calendars from my collection. Note the cat's dining area in the back corner. , Bathrooms Design
