  • My Tuscan Garden!, This is our outdoor trellis that protects us from the evening sun in sunny Arizona. We built this a few years ago using rebar and wood for support. Then planted two wisteria vines and some morning glories. It works great and gives us the outdoor cozy room feel., Yards Design

  • Before & After Kitchen Renovation, This is before and after pictures of my kitchen. We knocked out a wall in the kitchen to make it larger and took out the windows and added French doors with built in blinds out to my new deck. We kept the old cabinets but cleaned them with TSP and stained them. I put new hardware on the cabinets. I installed granite counter tops, Uba Tuba, with a under mount sink, replaced all the appliances with stainless still. We took up the laminate floors and extended the hardwoods. Put in a new back door with built in blinds.

I have not replaced the back splash at this time. I wanted to know what you think would look best with the blck, green & gold granite and my dark brown cabinets. As of right now, we just patched the walls. What do you think?

The picture I took which was at night makes the cabinets appear very dark and to me they aren’t. The medium dark cabinets and the green, gold, and black granite, to me, are a nice mix. Now I just need ideas for a backsplash. Thanks…

  • Work In Progress--My Retro Kitch Kitchen, While not quite a finished project my kitchy kitchen has come a long way! Gone are the boring boxes that once cooled and cooked my chow. In there stead are a '40s Beauty Range and Hotpoint fridge. The Various small appliances are all functional as well as hand picked for there aesthetic qualities. The table was culled from an estate sale and the dishes from thrift stores. In all less than $500 invested so far but I want to paint the cabs and put in a new floor., Kitchens Design
