  • Asian inspired Great Room, Here I worked with an American family of four living overseas in Singapore for nearly 5 years now. They have grown to love and obtain many pieces throughout their travels. Here's how we incorporated them into a comfortable living environment in their permanent home here in sunny Arizona! Their goal.....comfort comfort comfort with a slight reminder of their home in Singapore. (Btw a stunning area rug was added post photos that really ground the space and pulled all the colors together!), Living Rooms Design

  • Marriage of Japanese & Traditional American, Formal Living room is primarily used for Treadmill workout but we still enjoy the room. Fireplace is painted in contrast for accent. Large mirror is an antique made by my Grandfather. Odd shaped ceilings hard to work with. Sofa & chairs are 25 years old and will not be replaced. Coffee and end table needs replacing; can't find what I want for now. Any other suggestions?, Living Rooms Design

  • Asian Inspired Master Suite Addition, Our master bedroom was a second story addition that we completed about four years ago. It's approximately 400 square feet including a walk in closet and bathroom. One of my main inspirations for color was the fall turning of the leaves. The rest of it just seemed to flow after that! All of the work was completed by my husband and myself with the help of friends and family., Bedrooms Design

  • Asian/Oriental inspired home office on a budget, I tried to juxtapose light colors/woods with dark floors. As the process unfolded, I started to consciously employ various shapes as a design element. The space is very relaxing (my dog enjoys it). , Home Offices Design

  • My Buddha bath!, Ours is a standard 80's condo bath just off our master bedroom. Yet with a new home there is just so much we can spend. So my first question is always "how can I get the biggest bang for a buck?" - or as my grandpa used to say "a little bit of paint...a little bit of glue" I applied the same faux treatment to the walls as in the bedroom. I also framed fabric remnants for quick and easy art. I'm still thinking about what to do with the cabinets. For now this will do just fine..., Bathrooms Design

  • Inspiring Office, I'm an interior decorator in Nashville TN and was so inspired by Jennifer's Design Star room I made my own interpretation! My artist mom and I freehand painted the office so I could feel inspired to create beautiful spaces for my clients! My design aesthetic is traditional with a modern twist and I wanted my work space to reflect that. Now that the office is finished I'm looking forward to transforming my client's homes!Check me out at www.ddfranklin.com, Living Rooms Design

  • Gothic Inspired, PLEASE, GIVE YOUR INPUT.......I love dark colors, monochromatic, and heavy rich fabrics. The thought of a beige room to me is boring. I love drama and sexy undertones in a bedroom. I am not allowed to paint (Army housing) so I have to work with the white walls, and that is why I have added gold stripes in a muted metallic wrapping paper attached to the wall. It looks like paint when you in the room, but takes only seconds to pull down when will have too. I love Gothic style, but not the corny "blah blah" look!, Bedrooms Design

  • Traditional French-inspired formal dining room, This is a French-inspired formal dining room "on a budget." We are still looking for a proper sideboard, and we are constantly on the look out for accessories and artwork. This room is very small and narrow, and is basically part of the living room. It has a sliding door to the kitchen on the right-hand side of the room, and one window at the far end., Dining Rooms Design

  • NOLA inspired, I covered cheap wood paneling with a texture, faux finish, two layers of stenciling, and polyurethane. For the window I frosted the glass and custom built the insert out of two metal wall hangings and some wood. The turquoise cabinet is an antique piece that I dressed up with wood appliques and paint. The ceiling is painted metallic silver which glows in light. The chandelier was ugly brass that I hand beaded and spray painted., Dining Rooms Design

  • NYC Studio Living Space (revised), I finally decided on color for the walls (Wilmington Tan) and painted yesterday and put up some window treatments that I made out of some fabric I found at an Asian market. Also I put up a shear panel behind the bamboo reed divider for just a little more privacy. All that is missing is a mirror and some wall art I've had my eye on. I love the wall color. Sometimes it looks gold and in other light cafe con leche...lol. , Living Rooms Design
