My daughter loves pink! We matched the wall color to the petal of a pink rose (although my camera/picture color may be a bit off. Bright bedroom featuring antique desk, cheerful artwork, balloon shades and a delicate french mobile

I just decorated this living room area. Before the makeover I only had the leather couches and zebra armchair.
I moved those couches closer to my fireplace and one of them are parallel to the fireplace instead of the big screen TV. Do you think my living room looks too crowded? or too much color? Or is it missing something?

I work for an online store (http://www.rugsale.com that sells area rugs and when people are talking to us about their rooms and what would look good we often advise trying to think outside the box (or should I say outside the rectangle. This person used an atypical shape to differentiate and highlight a certain aspect of this room. Another example of this is using an oval rug under a dining room table. If it is done right it can be powerful.

Outdated kitchen with ugly green linoleum and green countertops is transformed into beautiful traditional space with black granite countertops backsplash and large floor tiles.

The way the windows were situated, I tried to think of a creative way to do curtains. I have curtains up now, but defore I show that picture, I want to get ideas of what you think should have gone here.

This monochromatic great room, comprised of a bright kitchen and warm family room, is ideal for everyday living as well as entertaining. The wood detailing, including distressed planked flooring and beautiful finished carpentry, make this room a treat for the eyes.

Please help me out! Small apartment. Can't paint the walls. Red accents. But help on the rug! The darker red one or the mingled look? The darker red is too small, but I just found a bigger one at the store. Which rug?? Go bigger or just enough for the coffee table???

TV/Living Area...I am trying to find a way to turn this room into chocolate brown and some shade of green or red scheme. I need Help!!!! I just purchased and moved in here and am using odd and end furniture to get me by right now. The runner is just there to be flattened but isn't there now. It looks like a dorm room and I need to get out of that. I am 27 now and need a more adult room. All suggestions are welcome and much appreciated !!!

Keep the rug or return it??? I need your advice for my formal living room that is never used. I just purchased the area rug yesterday how does it look with the neutral furniture? I have 48 hours to decide. We plan on painting the walls a tan color which may darken the room slightly.

These pictures speak for themself: This is a 1983 house. The bedrooms are a respectable and adequate size, but, not as large as the ballrooms some people think are necessary to sleep in. You can see the hallway and side of the entry way. The office desk is opposite the atrium window.

This is my open concept living / family dining room. I've been inspired ( after watching HSG channel to add some color preferably blue maybe via a painting or two or replacing the area rug with a blue one. However, I don't know how to go about this without making it clash with the bamboo wallpaper and the current island theme. Appreciate any suggestions. I'm hoping to accomplish this with a budget of $2000.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll definitely start by adding some blue throw pillows and removing the rug. I also think the current rug looks too noisy. Washing and staining the bamboo wall sounds intriguing, and I'm trying to visualize it. Would it look similar to the white bamboo wallpaper pic I uploaded? Also I'm reconsidering the rug, possibly something more neutral similar to the persian rug pic I uploaded, but with blue accents. I want to pull the furniture towards the center, but how would I handle concealing the table lamp wires, etc that are currently hidden between the sofa and the wall? The banana plant is large so moving it to the TV wall would obstruct the hallway or entry, but will give it a go. Alternatively could add some greenery above the TV shelf. Will add some more pics as I make some of these changes. Appreciate all the feedback.

These are NOT images from my home! They are snapshots from various websites that offer accessories I am interested in purchasing...We're going with the oatmeal slipcovers and love black and espresso accessories...but we have CHERRY end tables with glass tops! We are on a fixed income and ABSOLUTELY CANNOT purchase new tables. Wahh! :( Will all of these colors clash?

This is an old apartment where the tenants were not allowed to paint. I changed this room into colorful & contemporary with furnitures draperies cushions and floral arrangements. My color theme is Neutral Beige Brown Green Orange Blue Red - Carefully picked from the borders of the area rug and inspired from mother nature. Please check the "More photos from this space" link on your right hand side for more views of this living room.

Our small and oddly arranged living room space features a fireplace that stands alone between kitchen/dining room and living room. Because it isn't centered in either space, the fireplace doesn't easily serve as the focal point in the room. An oak mantel and decorative sconces add Old World charm, as does an antique engraving in an Baroque gold frame. The space is both living room and media center, but an ecclectic and mis-matched mix of family heirloom furniture and custom built contemporary oak furniture isn't working. The effect is anything but relaxing and doesn't have any sense of focus or purpose.
