Victorian concept in progress. 1890's bed, 1900's dresser, 1920's claw foot sofa. Beautiful Victorian lady photo that is my inspiration. Lost for ideas. Currently have carpet, but have wood laminate flooring to put in. Bathroom has already had laminate tile put in, and need to paint. Need IDEAS! Just because I have a double wide, doesn't mean I can't have a beautiful home.

My new little business, Lara Mark Designs, took off with my debut of a sweet baby girl's nursery. With different shades of pinks, lots of flowers, polka dots, stripes and extra special touches, a very special baby girl was welcomed into this world...and she's gonna love her room!

We love how our daughter's nursery turned out! It's so calm and peaceful -- and even though she's still sleeping in our room at night, I still love to spend most of the day in her room. When planning for a boy or girl, I knew I wanted the "big ticket" items to be of good quality and remain gender neutral - to accommodate our future children. I first found the Bratt Decor crib 50% off! I then picked out the bedding and wall color and everything fell into place after then. I was able to save money by making her mobile, lampshade and bow holder. The dresser was an antique find in my dad's shed, so that = FREE! I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures, and I hope they do the room justice!

This is the entry hall into our home. It was part of a full year remodel. All the steps & banisters were removed and replaced with solid Red Oak. Many of the paintings on the wall are period antiques including the portrait of the three gentlemen. (My REAL great, great, great uncles Thank you for viewing our remodel and feel free to take a look at all the rooms that we did in this remodel. All comments welcome. Thank you

This is the dining room remodel that my wife and I just completed. It was a full year process. Most everything in this room is antique. My favorite piece is the Eastlake bookase that I found at a local antique shop. All the accessories in this room are antiques as well. The entire house was inspired by the "smoking room" in Biltmore Estate located in Asheville, NC. A must see place. Please feel free to view all the rooms in ths remodel. All comments welcome. Thank you for viewing

This is the first guest room that my wife and I remodeled. Notice all the wood work. The room was inspired by a vist to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. It is decorated with period antiques by "Berkley & Gay". The wall clock is Seth Thomas. This is the "Masculine" of our guest rooms. Please enjoy the photos and feel free to leave any comments. Thanks.

This bathroom hasn't been touched since at least the 1970's. We have many limitations with space, but it is much brighter and cleaner. Clawfoot Tub was turned into a shower with new fixtures.

This is my sitting room or meditation room. It is also a small area where I do showcase some of my antiques. I do sit here every morning before I begin work to pray and meditate. The bay window overlooks three acres of woods behind my home. Frequently there are all types of deer, birds and wildlife that pass by. The atmosphere is always very peaceful and serene.

This is my second guest room in our house remodel. It too was inspired by a visit to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. It is the "feminine" guest room. You can see a great contrast from my "masculine" bedroom remodel. The only antiques in the room are some of the accessories. The bedroom furniture & fabrics are brand new. Hope you enjoy looking at our room. Feel free to visit all our room remodels and leave any comments. Thank you.

My daughter loves pink! We matched the wall color to the petal of a pink rose (although my camera/picture color may be a bit off. Bright bedroom featuring antique desk, cheerful artwork, balloon shades and a delicate french mobile

UPDATE: Well, we finally finished our bathroom and are now moving on... This past weekend we installed a new sliding glass door removing a large old pane window. We also installed our back screen door off of our bathroom. We have now decided to build a "summer porch" onto the back of our home - there is a deck we already built and we are making it into the "summer porch" which will be partially screened in so we can sleep out there on cool nights. So this is our new project and we hope to have it finished by winter, which is just around the corner ! ! We'll see..... we also would like to add onto the deck where we just installed our new sliding glass door, but I doubt that all of this will get competed. Another "work in progress" - will post pics.

This is our new remodeled basement. It used to have ugly paneling on the walls. We covered it up with canvas. We used plain bottled starch to get the canvas to stick to walls. We intalled a room divider between the new family room & home office in other side of basement. a very relaxing space. Many period antiques. Thanks for looking and be sure to check out all of my rooms because we gutted this house and remodeled every room in it. Comments welcome.

As you can see we've made a few changes. We haven't got to the master bath or the floors yet, but i wanted to post an update. I'm doing this work entirely by myself with a house full of young ones running around so don't be too harsh :
