  • BEFORE & AFTER Antique Secretary Makeover, This was my grandmother's Secretary from the 30's. Has been in storage for years... finally got it and completely redid it after all other family members decided it was just a piece of crap :-) Well.... now everyone's just a little jealous!!! :-) xoxo, Living Rooms Design

  • Grand Gold Parlor, This is the most formal of the living spaces in the house. But we use it a lot! All the furniture is from craigslist resale shops or handed down and very comfortable. I like to say this is the Ladies' Parlor - we shut the big pocket doors and you can't even hear the TV across the hall., Living Rooms Design

  • Formal Living Room, This is my formal living room--I rarely use it. It's very traditional but a bit small in size. I think it needs a bit more "umph" to it but I don't really know what it needs. , Living Rooms Design

  • My "Design on a Dime" Living Room, I had most of the furniture already (sofas, bookcase, chest, end table, chair, tree, and the art above the sofa). I wanted to use them since I am on a pretty tight budget. I did purchase a few new pieces of furniture - the desk/chair and the cabinet. The pillows, rug, accessories, and other artwork are also new. The wall color is SW Superior Bronze., Living Rooms Design

  • Brand New Old World Entry Hall, This is the entry hall into our home. It was part of a full year remodel. All the steps & banisters were removed and replaced with solid Red Oak. Many of the paintings on the wall are period antiques including the portrait of the three gentlemen. (My REAL great, great, great uncles) Thank you for viewing our remodel and feel free to take a look at all the rooms that we did in this remodel. All comments welcome. Thank you, Other Spaces Design

  • Elegant Victorian Dining Room, This is the dining room remodel that my wife and I just completed. It was a full year process. Most everything in this room is antique. My favorite piece is the Eastlake bookase that I found at a local antique shop. All the accessories in this room are antiques as well. The entire house was inspired by the "smoking room" in Biltmore Estate located in Asheville, NC. A must see place. Please feel free to view all the rooms in ths remodel. All comments welcome. • Master Suite, Victorian concept in progress. 1890's bed, 1900's dresser, 1920's claw foot sofa. Beautiful Victorian lady photo that is my inspiration. Lost for ideas. Currently have carpet, but have wood laminate flooring to put in. Bathroom has already had laminate tile put in, and need to paint. Need IDEAS! Just because I have a double wide, doesn't mean I can't have a beautiful home., Bedrooms Design

  • Lily Kate's Pink and Antique White Nursery, We love how our daughter's nursery turned out! It's so calm and peaceful -- and even though she's still sleeping in our room at night, I still love to spend most of the day in her room. When planning for a boy or girl, I knew I wanted the "big ticket" items to be of good quality and remain gender neutral - to accommodate our future children. I first found the Bratt Decor crib 50% off! I then picked out the bedding and wall color and everything fell into place after then. I was able to save money by making her mobile, lampshade and bow holder. The dresser was an antique find in my dad's shed, so that = FREE! I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures, and I hope they do the room justice! , Nurseries Design

  • Brand New Guest Bedroom II, This is my second guest room in our house remodel. It too was inspired by a visit to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. It is the "feminine" guest room. You can see a great contrast from my "masculine" bedroom remodel. The only antiques in the room are some of the accessories. The bedroom furniture & fabrics are brand new. Hope you enjoy looking at our room. Feel free to visit all our room remodels and leave any comments. Thank you., Bedrooms Design
