  • Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllppp, After 12 years I finally bought the perfect home for me. But I am a gardener and my yard is small and backs up to a much traveled road. I totally welcome advice on how to incorporate grapevines, native plants, a pergola for a covered porch, a small pond, an edible landscape and some privacy from the road. The yard is only 70' x 35'. It slopes in weird places. The existing patio is tiny and I love to entertain. And I'm on a really tight budget. I have no idea where to begin. Don't get me wrong. I'm really grateful to finally be in a home again where I can paint and garden. My space needs so many small things I don't even know where to begin on a really tight budget. Should I go for a workbench and shelves in the garage or shade for the super hot back yard patio or a nice barbeque to entertain with or energy efficient appliances or light upgrades and a toilet upgrade for my bathroom or color in the front or sprinklers or recover the sofa and chair and ottoman that are ancient but also have great potential? It feels like everything I need is pretty small but all put together it is overwhelming. I'm just overwhelmed. If God was to grant all my wishes right now He would send Ahmed for my yard, Candice for my kitchen, laundry room and bath, a guy who loved tools like I do for my garage and would understand my tears. But then... I'm a dreamer. And I need to add, I LOVE my house and yard. I can't begin to express how thankful I am to have it., Yards Design
