  • Got carried away!, We started out with the idea of building a small deck to put the grill. It turned into a kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom...all on one deck! The tile steps were quite simple and made such a beautiful difference., Patios & Decks Design

  • Romantic historic Italian faux villa, This house was a 1923 simple Italianate style that was so boring it was hardly noticeable when driving by. I painted a 2 layer 13 color waterstain using simple exterior paint. 1st layer was done with 5 shades of grey and moss green. The passer by's were very curious as to what I was doing. The progress looked quite awful. I designed and installed the hand poured cement walls/columns. The iron on the walls was forged to match the existing original iron skirting under the windows. Window canopies were existing I just painted them black and cream with exterior house paint after scrubbing and cleaning them., Home Exteriors Design

  • Authentic 1927 Kitchen Vintage Remodel - White White White and Black, I have always had a strong desire to create and restore since I was a little girl. My husband and I have been restoring a historic bed and breakfast for the last 3 years and we are almost ready to open. One of the last rooms (and most important) that we restored is our 1927 kitchen. As a graphic designer, I designed my kitchen on computer first and it turned out exactly as planned! Details are everything! We wanted to keep it authentic and hide as much modern as possible, but still make it functional for today's day and age. Everything has hydraulic pullouts, including the decorative hood around the oven. We also used subway tile, pressed tin ceiling, basketweave marble, and a lot of glass. This has been a labor of love...hope you enjoy the pictures! :), Kitchens Design

  • Halloween by Michelle, Halloween, for me, is about magic and whimsy. I like decorating with a "Yester-year" style, using little witches and black cats, paper mache pumpkin heads and crate paper ruffles. My haunt, inside and out, is "little kid friendly" and I won't put anything up that will scare them. , Holidays Design

  • Exquisite Outdoor Environment, The great clients of this gorgeous coastal estate allowed us to design their property in the same exquisite style and manner of their interior environment.
One of the major design components of this design is the grand and majestic Cabana that encompasses multiple functions and areas of luxury retreat. The Cabana has a luxurious restroom and shower, with an elegant changing room that even has personal lockers for guests to use! Also included under the roof of the Cabana is a large dining room, an opulent cook center, and a quaint fireplace room with optimum views of the ocean and coastline. Some of the other fantastic amenities include multiple pottery fountains, a fabulous pool and infinity spa, and large dining and lounge patios. Also included in this estate grounds is an area for the clients 'secret' garden, an elegant and functional citrus and vegetable terrace garden, and even a sheltered courtyard with a grand fireplace that is framed by matching elegant pottery fountains, Home Exterior Design

  • Hand Painted Our Bedroom Armoire...and showing some Favorite MBR Accessories., Have had this piece for many years...it was originally dark green with light maple doors. Needed a tall piece in MB corner, as my husbands chest was dwarfed with our cathedral ceiling. I had been a designer with Ethan Allen and always had coveted a handpainted armoire of theirs..should have bought it when we got 48% discount!!!...so I tried to get close to the feel of the EA piece., Other Spaces Design

  • Northwest Outdoor Living...Oregon Style!, This past winter we completed a kitchen addition with doors that opened out into mud :) We've spent the last few weeks redoing our back yard.

The project included large boulders being brought in, new decks and bridges, dry stream bed, sprinkler systems, lighting, a fountain on the patio, concrete patio, new beds and plantings.

All in all we're really happy with the space. We already had a nice canopy of mature trees and in a few years, the new beds should fill in nicely.

We were inspired for this project by our love of the Portland Japanese Gardens. The foliage and simple lines seem to compliment nicely with northwest design. , Outdoor Spaces Design

  • Sedona Old World Beauty, This is a custom home I designed and which was built for my clients a couple of years ago. I tried to give the home the Old world touches like Earth tone tinted Stucco, real tumbled Field stone, exposed headers, Mesquite doors. and wood and wrought iron gates, and gas lamps while keeping the home up to date as well. The front tower balcony has a beautiful view of the Sedona red rocks and The Chapel and the owners enjoy this view over their morning coffee. , Home Exterior Design
