My husband and I decided to ready for retirement and downsize. We selected a smaller home in Northern Michigan and converted it from a 60's asphalt covered cottage into a cute little log cabin. There was zero landscaping so we had our work cut out for us! We built decks on the front and back and a block patio, added a picket fence, made flower beds all over, brought in a log storage building, hydromulched the yard, planted trees, shrubs and hundreds of flowers, added a driveway and built a large firepit. It took us 2 full summers to complete the project. We certainly learned a lot about landscaping and just love the way it turned out!
