About This Space

Our new home came with a neglected backyard! Our koi pond has sprung a leak, and our wood deck is brittle, falling apart, and home to millions of fire ants. Thanks to a recent termite infestation, we have had to rip up boards, leaving rusty nails exposed. Our dogs have even fallen through! It has a lot of potential, and could look gorgeous, especially with the lake view - please help us!

Well maybe hgtv will help you. I no I could also use their help to! You have a great space and if they dont, you can do it yourself. Great start and a beautiful view of the lake! what a great garden space to create. If I were close to you I would come and help! You have so much to be thankful for! The pond just needs a little tweak and the yard just needs filled with colorful plants. Great space and I hope you are selected for this wonderful yard. Thank you for sharing your great space!

How much do you want to mess with the old koi pond? I would be tempted to drain it, fix it, and turn it into a water fall by adding more height to the back of it and putting in a new circulating system. Better to have a three tier little water fall that gives you more water music than try and remake it into what it was. If it is too much of a mess, drain it take out the plumbing fill it in, and turn it into a rock garden filled with moss and succlents.

leakyroof

that's not half as bad as my yard, my husband is so fruggle, that he made me call the contractor back and put up a makeshift roof over the outside cover on my screened in patio. when it rains here, it rains inside too. i can't sit in my screen room on a rainy day. we have no grass or trees in our yard, because we are allegic to them.it is all cement and dirt and rocks. we really need help with this problem. thank you leakyroof
