  • Venetian Inspired Master Bedroom, Our home is over 50 years old and on the smaller side, so we are always remodeling to create some sense of freshness and originality. This master bedroom originally was white with only a small window and small closet. We added a walk-in closet to the space, and then added a 10 x 11 sitting room towards the backyard.   • UPDATED Small inexpensive changes - richly HUGE impact! You can do it too!, Ours was a typical condo galley kitchen. We've begun our transformation by painting the melomine cabinets and adding a warm venetian plaster to the walls. My husband hand tooled the copper countertop. Now the "fast food" pass through is a usable space! We love antiques and wanted an updated traditional feel with a touch of old world charm. More to come... , Kitchens Design

  • Guest-Worthy Powderroom, For under $1000 we updated and jazzed up the powderroom. We added 6' high beadboard wainscoting and I did a rich chocolate (yummy!) venetian plaster wall treatment above the wainscot. I switched out the builder grade mirror and fixtures and replaced everything with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures. I made the window treatment with rich brown silk and a coordinating print. , Bathrooms Design

  • A little bit of Italy in the bathroom! , The walls of this bathroom are covered in Venetian Plaster. Although they have texture they are smooth as marble to the touch and also reflect light in some areas creating some sparkles. I used glass paint for the window for privacy and a subtle touch of color. There are few touches missing to complete this bathroom: A chandelier over the spa frame around the mirror and a plant that can grow with low light!, Bathrooms Design
