  • Finished Basement, My hubby designed and finished our basement himself and he is an IT guy. The only thing he contracted out was the plumbing. Each space is painted a different color to define the spaces. All the pics are rooms in our basement including our teenage son's bedroom. He thinks the whole basement is his domain. We love to "live" in our house. I'll add some before pics too. Tell me what you think., Living Rooms Design

  • Need Help with Yellow: Beach HangOut for Teen Boy, Our 13yo Teen Wants a "Warm" Bedroom. As it turns out, to him this means bright yellow and orange, and he has in mind some beach condo's we've visited. He likes white/blue beach cottage rooms like HomeMom's Beach Cottage Guest Room but then wants it in warm colors. This is a mockup of one corner in Photoshop; we're priming the sheetrock today so have a blank room, not even finished floors. Please help us design and refine this space, perhaps add a masculine flair, and teach us about designing with color. :), Bedrooms Design

  • Teen bedroom needs help, I am going to rearrange my small room (its only 8'8 x 12'4 and it goes inwards and the wall that my beds on for my brothers closet)

I have Ferrets that run around my room during the day so I have to keep stuff closed up so they dont get into it.
I am going to get rid of my shelf and put a 6 drawer thingy in there instead to put all my makeup and stuff in.
I have a small walk in closet that I keep some sweaters and dresses in along with random stuff, im not getting rid of.

I am going to move one of those closet things by my door and bed and then I am putting a hanging chain it the corner by my window, on It I am putting my sheepskin rug thing along with some pillows, what colour should the pillows be (I am sewing them myself) and how many? I am going to put up my "body" length mirror behind my door. I am still trying to figure out where to put the 6 drawer thing, my dresser and my computer desk, like in what order becuase my plugins are by my closet and by my window. Do you think that would work better? Also would it be better for my desk to be near my window or closet door?
Thank you so much!
