  • Tuscan Harvest kitchen, This is client/friend space. The walls are a gold metallic finish by Valspar that I jokeingly call 24kt gold because it took so much for even coverage. Custom faux finished cabinets for that Old World feel. Floor tiled on a diagonal in a warm tone. We used a budget wise solid surface countertop. The lighting faucet and cabinet fixtures were all changed for a more high-end look. The biggest change was opening the wall into the great-room. Please rate, Kitchens Design

  • Tuscan Gardens in Arkansas, We bought this property for the beautiful views, then we created more Tuscan-esque outdoor spaces. The driveway is made of large stones 'mortared' with grass. The front entrance is a colorful garden. A dam was built over a spring fed ravine to create the 1 acre koi pond. We started with 5 koi, 4 years ago, and now there are literally hundreds!, Gardens Design

  • Kitchen, The kitchen is openly connected to the great room and the dining room. The cabinets are knotty alder with a clear finish. The "hang down' cabinets above the sink give the kitchen a bit of separation and enclosure to the space. We chose granite tiles edged with carved travertine for the countertops. We chose this format because it was different than the norm, and a bit less expensive. We love the look., Kitchens Design

  • A Taste of Tuscany..in Delaware???, These are photos of the main living area(s) of my home. The space is definitely Tuscan inspired, but like all of my designs I try to balance the space with tasteful, quality furnishing and accessories that fit the space appropriately, instead of overcrowding the space with every Tuscan thing I could find. Some of the pieces were custom made, but most were store bought.
The foyer mirror was originally a different color, so in order to make it fit I painted it with gold and oil rubbed bronze spray paint and coated it with a flat varnish to finish it off. I usually have a real palm in the foyer, but it is the middle of winter and I can't find anywhere! My last one had a centipede nest in the root of the plant so needless to say it couldn't stay in the house! It took me a week to figure out where those things were coming from!
I recently updated flooring upstairs as well as the railing on the steps which used to be white wooden spindles. In order to replace the railing I had to also replace the entire staircase! So to save a little bit of money I did the staining myself (what a pain!). I hope you guys enjoy the space!

  • Spiced up Kitchen, I wish I would have taken "before" pictures. We completely gutted this kitchen tore the back wall completely out, put in the sliding glass door, took a window out. There was a wall that went where the railing is now with a built in Microwave. A drop ceiling, cream laminate cabinets w/ oak trim. It was totally screaming 1970's. We didn't gain any square footage but it seems soo much more open. We are getting the house updated to sell, so you will notice everything is very neutral!!!, Kitchens Design
