  • Brooklyn's Boutique, After countless hours of debating on the perfect colors, furniture, and accessories - I was finally able to put together a mix of new and used, light, bright and colorful, and vintage-modern and antique elements that felt right for our baby girl due October 1st. I have to admit that I started out wanting expensive, brand new furniture, but couldn't be happier with my budget-conscious buys from TJ-Maxx and Marshalls, Craigslist and Goodwill, local antique mall and Etsy. I started with the refinished dresser set, Jenny Lind Crib, and my one splurge (Serena and Lily bedding) and everything sprouted from there. The only thing missing now is my baby girl. We have a long 6 weeks to go, but I think we're ready!, Nurseries Design

  • Colorful Mudroom Entryway, Walking into this fun and colorful mudroom entryway, you can't help but get a smile on your face when you see the Kelly Green Meg Braff "Up in a Tree" Chinoiserie wallpaper. I wanted to think outside of the box for the mudroom. Who says the space has to be typical? I decided to have fun and go over the top. , Other Spaces Design

  • Casual elegant eclectic guest room, This is the guest room of my faux finisher. She has a beautiful old home in the historic section of Wake Forest, NC. She spent several years remodeling it and this is one of the rooms I helped her with. It is so calming in person. Adding the sheer linen drapes filtered the strong sunlight coming through the numerous windows. The room has an awkward shape/layout so it worked best with some of the furniture angled. After we did this room she wanted to make it the master bedroom., Bedrooms Design

  • Comfy, dark brown and white living room, This room is very comfortable and is used every day. The vaulted ceiling was given a fresh coat of white paint which looks crisp against the semi-sweet chocolate walls. Its very comfortable for us. Below are some of the items in the room. I'm still adding to this room.

  • UPDATE -- Antique Copper Ceilings (foam) completed! Remodel of our bathroom - still "In Progress" AND "Before and After" pics of our home when we moved in. , UPDATE: Well, we finally finished our bathroom and are now moving on... This past weekend we installed a new sliding glass door removing a large old pane window. We also installed our back screen door off of our bathroom. We have now decided to build a "summer porch" onto the back of our home - there is a deck we already built and we are making it into the "summer porch" which will be partially screened in so we can sleep out there on cool nights. So this is our new project and we hope to have it finished by winter, which is just around the corner ! ! We'll see..... we also would like to add onto the deck where we just installed our new sliding glass door, but I doubt that all of this will get competed. Another "work in progress" - will post pics. , Patios & Decks Design

  • Formal, warm and inviting living room, This is the room that would typically be called the formal living room. We are casual and have young children. I think the space is well suited to our lifestyle. It is a perfect space for conversation or to curl up and read a book. After dinner parties we generally circulate into the space for after dinner drinks and dessert. I still need to change out the previous drapery. It is not my style. It does match to some degree so it has been a little farther down on my to do list. I'll get them done, hopefully this year. Enjoy and thanks for looking!, Living Rooms Design

  • Gracious, beautiful dining room, Our dining rooms plays perfectly off of our formal living space. It is a mix of formal and casual, which fits our lifestyle. I have many pieces that I love in our space. My furniture is more on the casual side. It is paired with a perfect chandelier, beautiful artwork, and a stunning rug which ties the room all together. The drapery in the room came with the home. I intend to change it out later this year. It has worked and blends in with the space. The color pallet in the space is very relaxing and makes for enjoyable dinner parties. Enjoy and thanks for viewing!, Dining Rooms Design
