  • Eclectic Elegance, My bedroom was a dark nightmare before. I only wish I had pictures so that you all could see the major transformation that it has seen. I was a dark maroon red color before - on all four walls - with a bright white ceiling. The bed was placed right in front of the door and it was the first thing you hit when you entered the space. I had too much furniture in the space, so I un-cluttered, re-arranged and spruced up my space.
The walls are now a soft blue-green with a light blue ceiling. Crown molding was added for a more elegant look. A wicker chair was added from Peir 1 and a dresser and nightstand was removed. A soft grey diamond patterned silk lines the window with a simple rod at the ceiling for added heigth. Placing eclectic items around the room moves the eyes up to the ceiling and back down. And the darker color of the furniture keeps the eye moving all around the room. This design took place in less than a week!
(The only thing missing in the pictures is the new chandelier that I refurbished and painted white.), Bedrooms Design

  • Elegant Modern Bathroom, This was an unfinished basement. I wanted to create an Oasis for Guests. I love to create and decorate. It is complete with his and her vanity. The glass block wall in the shower shares a wall in the bedroom. You cannot see the person in the shower from the bedroom. However, the clear glass on top of the glass block allows for light to come in from the window in the bedroom., Bathrooms Design

  • Elegant Entertaining, join us for cocktails, Entertaining in a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere was thought out in the design of this room. A game table in the corner multi purposes itself as a place for an intimate dinner with another couple. The chairs provide additional seating for the living room when entertaining additional guests. The lighting is designed to showcase art throughout the room and provides a warm elegant glow at night. This is a room of texture, and contrasts. Artwork gives the room the "punch" of color it needs., Living Rooms Design

  • From an infant to a little girl, We chose to veer away from the usual pink for a little girl's room. Instead picking yellow and blue (the Swedish national colors). My mother made the crib linens (including a yellow floral bumper that isn't pictured with the toddler bed) drapes, table cover and accent pillow.

We also designed the nursery with room to grow. When Hanna outgrew her toddler bed, we swapped it out for a trundle bed. I re-used the bedskirt and leftover remnants from her crib to create her new linens., Girls' Rooms Design

  • 80's update, Outdated 80's kitchen had poor traffic flow and tile counters. New kitchen used same footprint but changed the flow; removed the peninsula and junk collecting desk, moved the fridge, cooktop and oven, added a beverage center and built in the microwave. Fridge is covered by cabinet materials and remainder of appliances are stainless. Includes a mini bar and beverage center. 10 ft island; granite counters and stainless sink Pendant lighting is line voltage to save money. Lights came from Lamps Plus at a very low cost. The cabinet color is Alabaster so not a stark white. Perimeter granite is Absolute Black and Island is Persian Pearl, a blend of off white, beige a little brown and black., Kitchens Design

  • Goodbye 70's, hello timeless!, I converted this space from the 70s to today! We have an old colonal home, but I wanted something modern, yet timeless that feels clean & fresh. I just need help with the finishing touches! Suggestions welcome and I added the dimensions I have to work with. My idea came from a Pottery Barn magazine which I tried to duplicate within my budget and the much smaller space.

I also posted the before pictures at the end. Enjoy & thanks for looking!

P.S. I had Habitat for Humanity do the demo and haul everything away for $150., Bathrooms Design
