  • escape to the sunporch, we can sit out here in all weathers--and we do--at our old picnic table on our heirloom rockers on our ratty old comfy couch--the view is fine. we're a step out of the kitchen a step off the deck a step from the back yard. this sunporch is a great mudroom where the dog can dry off in comfort coming in from the snow or rain. the porch is full of antiques from the farm and friends made our rag rugs. we have hydronic heat under the stone tile floor---, Porches Design

  • Sunporch floor painting ideas, I need some ideas on what to do with a sunporch concrete floor, we only rent this home so i would like to do something with paint. Our porch is painted off white and it shows the dirt and the marks from moving the chairs. i would like to give a inexspensive look of tile or acid wash but i never done anything like this before, is it easy in not so costly. Any other ideas? We tried putting felt on the bottoms of chairs to stop the scratch marks but they didnt last long, how can we avoid the scratch marks after we paint the floor, Porches Design

It started out with the parrot chest and.. ..This is where we watch tv so the chairs had to be comfy for the "old folks"and it's also the place where the grandkids play. • A Cottage to Redo!, I'd love to hear how you'd rework this 3 season cottage to a 4 season home. I haven't bought it yet, but I love the area and the cottagy feel of the place. It's over a hundred years old, and will need to be insulated (thus wallboarded somehow) , will need a furnace, and the bathroom isn't shown. Just an exercise guys, if there isn't a well on the property, all plans are moot., Other Spaces Design

  • Colorful vintage inspired sunroom, This is a small sunroom that was added to the 1950's home that I rent in DC. Since it is a rental I am not willing or allowed to make any major changes such as paint carpet I just work with what I have to make a comfortable space. The rest of my home with the exception of my adjoining kitchen and daughter's room is more traditional with muted colors. It's fun to have a little color though. Red and green aren't just for Christmas any more!!!, Porches Design
