  • Storm Damage prompted Powder Room Redo, We suffered some minor storm damage to our home that instigated a domino effect of construction/redecorating throughout our home. This powder room was one of the "dominos". We hated it before . . . it was definitely builder grade. We replaced everything including the floor which is now a nice travertine; a furniture piece used as vanity; wall mounted faucet; antique wall sconces; and a new mirror and new art. We are now happy WITHOUT the builders style., Bathrooms Design

  • Birthday Project, My sister and I made over my Dad's room for his birthday. It's my VERY first time doing anything like this, so please keep criticism kind! I am open to suggestions for next time, and we are still going to make small changes, like new dressers, a new nightstand, maybe some sheers, and something to go on the wall above the bed. The first few pictures should be the before... anything with terrible reddish sponged walls is before if not! As if you can't tell..., Bedrooms Design

  • Window Air Conditioner Water Damage, Here is what happens when Window Air Conditioner are left in windows for extended periods of time. When air window conditioners are not properly placed in a window. Water can leak into walls. Here is an example what can happen. The framing under the window started rotting and had bug damage. We first noticed that the window trim at the bottom of the window was wet and the paint was peeling on the trim boards. As we pried the wood back we noticed more moisture and rotten wood. As we pulled out wet fiberglass insulation we found more wet rotten wood in the wall. We had to rebuild the wall. After we install a weather barrier we will re-install clap board siding. This happens to be a rental property, but homeowners can get lazy & forget to removed a unit after the summer, too., Home Exterior Design
