  • Feaux Tile Patio Floor, Sponge painting results in tile-like floor for patio. Easy project with great results.
How TO: Choose 2 contrasting colors for the project. I used Behr Porch & Floor Paint formulated for exterior floors. Clean thoroughly unpainted concrete floor (pressure washer is excellent for this step). Prime clean/dry floor with concrete binding primer (very important step) -I used Behr Concrete Binding Primer from Home Depot - excellent product). Let dry. Next, paint base color over the entire floor (lighter color in my project) - let dry. Next, using painter's tape, tape off the desired size and number of squares for your project (this step takes the longest amount of time). Next, using a sponge roller, sponge contrasting color over base color in each square until desired look is achieved (roll sponge in one direction; do not go back and forth). Remove tape and enjoy your "tile" floor., Patios & Decks Design

  • Marvelous Modern Kitchen Remodel from Old French Country Outdate, We converted our old 1977 French Country Kitchen to a clean, crisp Modern design. I designed my remodel design around the original red mod fireplace in the kitchen. This is a huge kitchen with open lines, we wanted to build on that openness and kept focus on the great windows and light in the room. High gloss cabinets achieved by painting with automobile paint and gloss. All stainless appliances and accessories., Kitchens Design

  • This Young House's Sunroom , By far the best room in the house our sunroom had potential from the start. Three out of four walls boast huge glass windows for perfect spring breezes and stunning views. Pulling up the ugly (and smelly) carpet from the previous owner was the first thing we did and then we stained the concrete floors in a warm tuscan gold color. • Heavenly Outdoor Kitchen!, This covered patio/turned outdoor kitchen needed a floor update to keep up with the fabulous kitchen and sassy decorating style. I colored paper to compliment the neutrals in the decor, then decoupaged onto the cement slab and sealed it so that it can be hosed off for easy cleaning. I added traction beads so it's nonslip for safety. Who wouldn't want to be out here all summer? Pass the snacks, please., Patios & Decks Design
