  • SMALL BATHROOM SOLUTIONS, So you're renting, and the bathrooms aren't quite the same size as what you use to have? Lack of storage space? Lack of wall space? Just lack of space - period? Here's a few small changes I made to one of our now small bathrooms. In our FL townhome before, we had 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms, offering both space + storage. Now we've gone to two, probably equally the size of our master bathroom before. A small space transformation like this can be done in a day. It's simple enough for a rental, or even a home staging if you need to sell. If you're looking for a simple weekend project for your home, this would be a great project to do, plus maybe add stencil or stripes to the walls for extra wow. • Smallest Bathroom Ever!!, Our historic home was previously a duplex and the bathroom shown is off the dining room and is so small I can't imagine that it was once someone's only bath. Until now, while focusing on other rooms, we have closed the door and only used this bathroom for storage and cleaning paintbrushes, etc. We are debating whether to remove the tub and convert into a powder room or remove the tub and add a small shower. What do you think? Any ideas for a REALLY small bathroom renovation??

UPDATE: We decided to conquer it...we did all the renovations ourselves and spent less than 1k. Many of you suggested eliminating the tub and converting to half bath. Some suggested moving the toilet. We purchased a smaller toilet and kept the tub. We painted the pink backsplash white and tiled the floor. My "oh so talented" husband built the shelf and converted a $2.99 bowl to a sink. It's still small...but way better! At least we aren't embarrassed of it any longer., Bathrooms Design

  • Finally - a new bathroom floor!, We've finally gotten around to putting a new floor in the bathroom, and it's really made a huge difference. With a little ingenuity, a couple of retro touches, and the eventual re-painting of the walls, it might not be so bad after all!, Bathrooms Design

  • Small Master Bath Gets a Makeover!, We are in the middle of remodeling our small master bathroom. It is about 10 by 5 feet. We will be replacing the tub/shower with a walk in & tiled shower, getting a whole new vanity, installing recessed lighting and re-texturing/painting all the walls. I don't know if I've left anything out but I hope you enjoy the transformation!, Bathrooms Design

  • A Mini Master Bathroom, This, unfortunately, is the smallest room in the house--it's a tie with the closets. Our master bathroom can barely hold one of us, but we're trying to make it work. I don't have the resources to blow out walls, so we need to make the space feel bigger. We're thinking a pedestal sink, clear shower doors, taking down the white cabinet and putting in a large mirror, and tiling the shower to the ceiling. Any other ideas?, Bathrooms Design

  • Tiny squinched, knee knocking, bathroom, I love the cozy cottage feel of my 1949 home...HOWEVER, there is only one bathroom which is connected to the two bedrooms. Guests hav o walk through either my room or my sons to use the restroom. The space is approx , I'm guessing 50 sq feet if that. To make matters worse, the toilet is behind one of the doors so if someone is "busy", and if someone else flings the door open, you either get knocked in the knees or bumped in the forehead...The storage is primarily an old kitchen cabinet. I actiually have repainted the bathroom this yellow and added a new faucet and light fixture. It still feels just yucky and dated no matter what I do., Bathrooms Design

  • Townhome small master bath, We took out the tub for a walk-in shower. Enlarged the window for more light and to open up the space. Used larger tiles going up the wall, put tiles on diagnal on the floor and small diagnal tiles in floor of shower to make it seem larger.

We put a shelf above the door and window for more storage along with 6 drawers and one cabinet. The shower has 4 sparys and a chair bulit in. We love this. It seems much larger than it is. You can't take one photo and get most of it in with one shot., Bathrooms Design
