Our daughter's contemporary nursery inspired by mid century modern design and sustainable elements.

My objective for designing this room was to create a kid-friendly environment that would reflect a youthful energy and transition well as our daughter grows older. White walls and furniture serve as a clean canvas to showcase a spectrum of vibrant colors throughout the room. The number collage, framed alphabet art, and roller coaster print are pieces reminiscent of childhood, but with urban appeal. Bold, colorful fabrics with contemporary patterns are mixed and matched to keep it fun.

Mighty Master

We love relaxing and enjoying this space! When we moved in to the house this room was lime green with a jungle theme. We painted, installed new curtain rods, blinds, window treatments, and crown molding. Then we put in dark brown furniture and accent pieces and finished it off with very simple accessories.

Ugly Basement

We have greeat space, but it needs to be updated to a fun and cozy entertainment lounge. It has a small bar area, as well as several closets and a bathroom. The space has no heat so it is often very chilly down there. What would be the best way to upgrade this space? We use it for exercising and watching TV.

A simple suburban example of maroon, white and black. We like minimal clutter and smooth textures. The iron bed is the focal point with its deep red spread that has just a hint of a design. Dark wood accessories are used to contrast the stark bone walls.

Basement Bathroom

We are almost done with the bathroom in the basement. I'm kinda lost at this point. Its a very light gray with white bead board. I love the bathtub we found and refinished. Love the yellow and red cabinet. but after that I just don't know what I want to do. Please help!!

Eclectic Elegance

My bedroom was a dark nightmare before. I only wish I had pictures so that you all could see the major transformation that it has seen. I was a dark maroon red color before - on all four walls - with a bright white ceiling. The bed was placed right in front of the door and it was the first thing you hit when you entered the space. I had too much furniture in the space, so I un-cluttered, re-arranged and spruced up my space.
The walls are now a soft blue-green with a light blue ceiling. Crown molding was added for a more elegant look. A wicker chair was added from Peir 1 and a dresser and nightstand was removed. A soft grey diamond patterned silk lines the window with a simple rod at the ceiling for added heigth. Placing eclectic items around the room moves the eyes up to the ceiling and back down. And the darker color of the furniture keeps the eye moving all around the room. This design took place in less than a week!
(The only thing missing in the pictures is the new chandelier that I refurbished and painted white.

This is my living room/sitting room off foyer. Kitchen is off the back next to sitting room. All rooms have an open, one large room feel. Kitchen needs help with paint. Again, developer used more orange/yellow colors as seen in other rooms on profile.

With number six on the way I desired a change. This time I wanted a nursery that said, "Shhhh, sweet baby playing." Not only did it need to be functional, but gender neutral as well. Since our budget was small, all the painting and bedding would have to be DIY.
