I've been moving things around here quite a bit lately: I finally found the perfect spot for our tiki-hut - it as a little bit too big for the entrance and wasn't very functional there. We have a lot of people over, so it's perfect to keep the glass water container on it all the time now. We also got new ceiling fans - it's very hot here in Hawaii, and I wanted the fans to look more tropical so I got the woven leaf look. We added more seating and changed a few more things around:

Two years in the making (too long, but we designed and GCd ourselves plus vacations and downtime we can finally say our basement is complete! 1400sf of finished basement space including a full bath with mosaic and subway tile, full bar with refrigerator, dishwasher, tv and microwave, family room area with fireplace and play room area with toy closet along with french doors leading to gym with treadmill, elliptical machine and bench with weights. Flooring consists of Mannington Adura Plank in Dockside Boardwalk throughout basement, excluding bathroom. Benjamin Moore Gray Owl and Northern Cliffs on walls. Chimera Pewter by RM CoCo used for Roman Shade window treatments.

The family room is open to the kitchen area and holds my husbands pride and joy, a flat screen TV! It is mounted above the fireplace for optimum viewing. The sectional is great when the family watches a movie or sports.

This room was remodeled in 2008. Hardwood, hand-planed Homerwood hickory floors, MIssionStone precast mantle with a Moscerelo granite hearth. New motion furniture (end seats are motorized New paint, crown moulding, window casings, and pleated shades. We also replaced the sliding glass door and reversed the direction it opens to give us more usable space. We also added the 57" Mitsubishi HD LCD television and BlueRay DVD player. There are before, during, and after shots.

I have updated the living room with curtains, a rug, and mirror. I feel like its missing some finishing touches. Maybe some plants? Something on the wall beside the armoire? Suggestions?

Our living room has a two story ceiling and lots of windows looking out into the woods. I bought a brown microsuede sectional sofa, glass coffee table, and added lots of plants (that I'm trying to keep alive and the mirrors over the sofa to reflect the gorgeous view. I also used a photo editor on photos of my children to create art on the wall over the TV.

Just moved into our condo a few months ago. With special orders etc I'd love some input now that it's finally furnished. The space is large 14'x22' with lots of windows creating an airy feeling during the daytime.

This was the main "living room" of our new house. As you can see from the "before" pictures, there wasn't much to love about it. Being a movie buff, I knew I wanted a "media room" in our new house & since we bought an older home I decided to turn this room into our "media room". We entertain frequently so seating for a large crowd was a must! I also wanted the feel of an old theater with thick, plush, decorative carpet and luxurious drapes. We decided to paint the trim white & need to find a table or ottoman's & get a larger flat screen for that "theater" feel, but I think we've accomplished the look I was going for.
