Technically, ADA wants a flat landing right outside the door which you don't have. Your ramp also looks too steep. Build up a big new slate or flagstone landing at the level of your inside floor and take it out towards the street and at least 3' beyond the front of the garage. Put steps from the landing to the garage door for the parents and a big sweeping entry walk to the sidewalk for the wheelchair. Be careful about putting anything on the new landing because it might get in the way of the chair.

I think the ramp is beautiful, compared to the ones that i have seen. Being the gardener that i am, i would add some greenery. But i would not want to block the front door for safety reasons. I like the chair there, It looks welcoming !

You could replace the landscaping across the front with larger bushes that stay green throughout the year (boxwoods, for example). If you do that you will mask the ramp verses right flooring area situation. It will also provide that year round greenery that is attractive at the entry. Replacing the existing light fixture with a black hanging lantern fixture will be attractive, draw the eye upward, compliment the fixture beside the garage, and show off your pretty transom window above the door. Barn stars are popular. An 18 inch barn star would look nice to the right of the door, perhaps in black (or maybe the color of your door/shutters.

I would suggest a narrow outdoor iron 'baker's rack' which is a series of shelves that you could accessorize with plants, etc.

Instead of what is hanging on the house above the chair have you thought about a wall sclupture in iron. I think it would look nice with the design on the front door. Then just get a potted plant that flowers and set it on that black spot. Hope that helps!

My idea would be to take away the runway in front of the door, and put the ramp right up to the door. Then i think the chair is to big and over powers the door. I would put a bench on the side of the wall, and where the chair is right next to the door i would put a planter with a tree like bush or flower.and where the wreath is i would put a wrough iron something or other, from Home goods, marshalls or tj max.
