Alexinvienna- Thank you! We did not replace the siding. It was the original wood siding that we painted. The chimney is siding- would loved to have bricked it but our budget didn't call for it. My personal opinion on front side brick homes is to paint them all one color and the house looks larger. I love our result and would do it over in a heart beat! Good luck with your renovation.

Gorgeous! Can I ask- did you paint the siding or have it replaced? Is your chimney covered in siding? Is it vinyl? Is any part of your chimney brick? We are looking to update our split-level that's half vinyl siding/half brick and love your ideas!

Thank you! The red door was a custom color that my designer picked out to go with the Sandy Hook Gray. To be honest the color doesn't really look the same in person because the photograph was "brightened". Notice how green the grass is! Thanks for the garage window suggestion. Maybe I'll take that on in the Spring!

Looking at your before picture I would have said "what a beautiful home" so I'm not sure what made you decide to do all that you did. But wow! What a transformation. I'm also not a fan of painted brick normally, but this is just beautiful. And the porch addition is stunning. Five stars!!

Hi. I really like the new porch and color palette. What red did you use? It is very hard to find the right red. Funny, I just posted my gray colonial to decide wether to go with black shutters or not! Check it out, I'd value your opion. Unfortuanately, I can't add a whole front porch, like yours, but am thinking of a small porch or roof just over the front door area. I do have one suggestion for you. We used to have garage doors just like yours, with the windows. Before we got the new ones, I painted over the windows and it really cleaned up the look. The vertical line of all those dark squares pull your eye away from the house. It's safer too, no one can see if your cars are in or not.

I am not a fan of painted brick...but...this is the first house I've seen that I would say I love it! What a difference. You did an amazing job. I love the colors.

SPECTACULAR!!!! Love the addition of the porch ~ the architecture is beautiful! LOVE the painted brick. Totally changes the whole feel of the house. I don't know why so many people are scared to paint brick. You have a beautiful home, enjoy your time on your new porch!
