  • Dull porch, This is the old floor of my screened porch. It looks nice when it's wet, but dull and gray when it dries. Could there be a sealent that needs to be stripped. Is there a sealer recommended that would make it look better? Thanks!, Porches Design

  • Rustic Three Season Porch , This three season porch was remodeled because we wanted a porch that could give us a more rustic outdoors look. The architectural stone facing and floor tile made the room for what it is. All the tile was purchased at The Tile Shop (www.tileshop.com). By adding a comfy couch from Pottery Barn (www.potterybarn.com) and a few plants this room has became our favorite place in the house., Porches Design

  • Porch for Entertaining, We transformed our recently added New England porch with bright blue accents and tiled the floor to match the kitchen to extend living space. We created both a casual seating area and an eating space. We also added a gas line for a grill inside the porch allowing for year around grilling even with snow! The tiles on the the tables were all white which looked very sterile so we purchased 2 additional colors of tile and made a checkboard for a warmer more fun approach. See the before photo., Porches Design

  • Sad screened porch, This is horrible, I know. We just moved in about 6 months ago. The rest of the house is looking good, but I am kind of at a loss with this porch. It is a great space overlooking the lake in our backyard, and I know it has potential. I just need some direction. I was thinking first off the old blue carpet has to go. Maybe some large earth tone tiles would be good. Also, I either want to paint the railing black, so it is less visible or get rid of it altogether (not sure if this would be safe to do, see pics). Anyway, I'm open to ideas - even crazy ones! Thanks in advance!, Porches Design

  • Slate Tiled Front Porch, My home was built in 1899 and we have slowly been making update. The porch was a cement slab. I found inexpensive slate and decided to try my first tiling project. Tiles are placed at a diagonal to reduce the uneven appearance. I seal the porch every six months to keep it weather protected., Porches Design
