  • Ayana's Sweet and Modern Nursery, I am a lover of contemporary living. Ever since I thought of making our daughter's nursery I was looking for something that looks modern and contemporary. After my rigorous research I finally settled down to "Gray and Yellow" theme, Gray was to give the room that elegance and Yellow was to diffuse that freshness and incandescence for a girl's room. I loved how the combination was vivid as well as graceful.

However, I wanted to keep a balance between splurging for the nursery and 'thinking too much'. I think I was able to get to it finally!

I got my inspiration from all the beautiful projects that have been submitted already. I had previously done my son's room, and I also wanted Ayana's room to be as pretty as she herself is.

  • EM'S ROOM (2 YRS OLD), My mom handpainted the dresser that I used when I was young. We painted the bed that my husband had used when he was little. I added the poms to give some different depths and color contrasts to the green - you never can go wrong with green and pink! The framed drawing at the foot of the bed is her "take" on her brother when I was still pregnant with him - it is called "Mommy's Baby." The curtains were made for her original nursery but I thought they were too cute to pack away! , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Pink and Brown Chic Nursery, I wanted a nursery that my daughter could sleep and play in but that I enjoyed being in as well. This space is something she can grow in. I love coming in here because its just so comfy! The furniture is pottery barn and partially inspired the decor. All of the paint is Ethos but matched to Benjamin Moore colors. The wall paint is Pink Cherub, the ceiling is candy stripe, the wall behind the crib, animals and polka dots are Kona. The hot pink accents on the mural are rhododendron. I found images for the mural from etsy and then projected them on the wall and traced them and painted them. The pom poms are from etsy as well. The glider is used but I found slipcovers online for $200 so now its Ivory! The shelves are from Home Depot. If you have additional questions as to where I got something, just let me know :) , Nurseries Design

  • Nursery/Office Combo, This space was designed to be a multipurpose room considering that we are currently residing in a two bedroom apartment and needed to accommodate an office and nursery...needless to say we were limited with what we could do to the room (painting..etc.) However I am very pleased that we were able to find furniture that not only will grow with our little girl but also functional for the space...enjoy!, Nurseries Design

  • Our First Nursery II, I posted this room a few days ago, but have since then added colorful flower pom poms over the crib. Also, to the right of the pink hippo (on the dresser) is where the changing pad will go. This room was done on a budget. I did the artwork myself, got the crib bedding for $25, and painted the wall circles. We wanted a room that said "baby" without being fru-fru. I wanted it to be sophisticated and classy -- but still fun and colorful. I hope I've achieved that. Any and all opinions welcome!, Nurseries Design

  • Dylann's Dream, This room is for my 4 year old daughter who is in LOVE with the color pink. If it's not pink she doesn't want anything to do with it : ) So we went with a shabby chic theme. All bedding and most accessories are the Rachel Ashwell- Simply Shabby chic line from Target. The wall color started out as TUTU PINK-Dutch Boy but it was too bright so I hand mixed in some white tone it down. If you like this color then I suggest getting it a 50% not 100% like I did.
