  • Playroom, I designed this playroom to maximize organization and storage of toys while still providing a large open space for the kids to play. The space also needed to be gender neutral since I have a son and a daughter. Functionality is key in a playroom. There are so many things that need to happen in a playroom. This room provides a space for toys, art, TV, sleepovers, and creative play. I designed the cable art system and had my husband build it for me. I wanted somewhere to display photos of the kids playing but allowed the photos to be easily changed as they grow. , Other Spaces Design

  • Playroom for 2 year old - Additional Pictures!, Instead of having toys all over the family room, we converted our spare bedroom into a playroom for our 2 year old daughter. I didn't want to paint again, so I left the white walls and the black trim which I don't think is that noticeable - and besides, it matches the TV. I am still not finished, but have tried to decorate the room around the colors in the kitchen. I am thinking about putting one of those cables on the wall with the kitchen to hang her artwork. Please let me know what you think., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Playroom?? Help!!, I have a patio that has been enclosed and turned into an AZ room. It has french doors that lead to my family room, a door leading outside, and a door at the other end to get into our bedroom. It is so long and skinny that I'm not sure what to do with it. I have an 18 month old and so I've been using it as kind of a playroom/ extra tv room and guest room when needed (hence the futon). The problem is that you can see right into it from the family room and it is a passage way to get out to the back yard, so I'd like to spruce it up and make it a lot cuter but I'm not sure what to do with it! I'd like to make it a fun playroom that still matches the rest of our house since everyone will be seeing it. , Other Spaces Design

  • Playroom, This is my son and daughter's playroom. I didn't want it too girly or too boyish... My color inspiration came from the hand and foot print art the kids made at preschool :) There are too double closets that have storage cubes and bins with all their toys. The kids LOVE their space and I LOVE that the toys are no longer all over my house!, Other Spaces Design

  • Kids Playroom, Bring the outside in. Using bright colors we brighten up our kids "blah" playroom into a place where they would like to spend endless hours of fun. We created a corner where reading under a tree is the most relax thing to do. An entertainment center that gives a light show at night is always fun but also a way to keep everything in its place. A little table just for them to eat or draw. Two blackboards that are also magnetic so they can learn. Mirrors where they can practice their funny faces and enough room to just PLAY!!, Other Spaces Design

  • Happy Colorful Kid's Playroom, When we moved to our new house almost 2 years ago, we knew our daughter then almost 2 year old soon would need fun, happy and child-friendly playroom so that her friends from new neighborhood can also enjoy in comfortable, safe and inviting environment.

Before she was born, we owned Morish Tile Rug in clementine/ivory from Pottery Barn and we liked the happy chic color, pattern and comfy texture. Also, we would always get great compliments from our friends and family. It was perfect inspiration start off with.

We had our challenges though. Previous owner of our house transformed this room from a garage to a den. If you were to enter this room, you had to go down a step from livingroom. We wanted to provide hassle free passage way for young little feet. Frequent visits from one room to another should be effortless. Thanks to my father-in-law, a carpenter, he put together brand new oak flooring to match the floor level to living room for safe access and gave fresh paint(Behr, Herbal Mist) to walls so it's bright and inviting.

We are really satisfied that the room is now an age appropriate, colorful and fun space for our 3 year old daughter where she gets to learn, play and inspired every single day.
