Hi neighbor - our deck is similar to yours and I really love your awning. Would you mind sharing the brand and is it custom to the configuration of the deck? We really need something similar and I have been looking every ware. How does if fare in rain? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

I have been looking at canvases for awhile now. And when I saw your it is perfect. We live on the 9th hole, and this would be perfect. I am putting you in my favorites. I didn't realize that they have a service to take it down and put it up! Perfect! Love your dog.

Thank you hudsongoods...someone told me about Sunbrella on my Home Exteriors page..so might look into that. But also am going to look into a fabric store and add the panels myself. We live in a very small town so there is no one to do the awning for me...don't know if they will come from the city or not...so doing it myself might be the only option..thank you for responding. Love your space.

thanks for all the great comments. The awning is an acrylic so that it resists fading, unlike traditional canvas, and comes in 100 colors and designs. It was purchased from a local awning company and the metal structure is permanent. They take the fabric down and up at the beginning and end of the season, for a fee, but you could not do it yourself... too many strings and knotting! It is a hefty price so be prepared!

Love everything about it and I want one. Did you build it or buy it someplace? About how much did it cost to build the awning. Love the blue -- it will go great with my light blue house. I've been searching the net for a pergola or gazebo but there are so many with bad ratings that seem to blow away. You're looks like it will last a long time. Great job!

I would love to know the fabric that you used to cover your porch. I have an arbor and would love to cover it but really didn't want to have to make it permanent...can you help me? Thank you...I bet you fully enjoy your porch! Great idea!
