When my husband and I found out we were having a little girl, my wheels immediately started spinning and construction began! I have always loved wainscot, so that was the first DIY project my husband tackled. I maximized space by setting the armoire caddy-corner with a changing station to the left and the crib directly on the opposing wall. The glider and ottoman is also caddy corner next to the changing station. I found an antique mahogany two-tier table with scallop edging from Craigslist -$50- and refinished it in a black pearl stain with gold etching and tulip flowers with the letter M for Baby Madison. The picture-in-picture was a design inspiration that my mom found in an interior decor magazine. We replicated the idea, wallpapering each of the inside panels bordered with molding, and placed vintage pictures that have been with my family for several years. On the 'changing station' wall, the other two picture-in-pictures have wired vintage figures of a manikin silhouette and Eiffel tower for that Parisian flare. My mother-in-law made all the bedding, drapery, and diaper hanging sack from fabric we picked out a local fabric warehouse in Buena Park, CA. The crib cornice and curtain tie backs were a great find at the Princess Canopy Shop on Etsy. They are stained in black pearl with brass/gold etching. My husband designed the M font and worked with an online wood-work company to produce the finished product at a greatly reduced price -under $40-. I bought the hanging chandelier on closeout with black shades and matching pink bows were tied using the leftover pink satin bedding fabric. The furniture is by Munire, purchased at USA Baby and the lamp was purchased on clearance at Tuesday Morning -$50-. I shopped around for the rug after finding that on an interior design website, I bought it for 50% less than retail from BoldRugs.com after they price matched another competitors price. The crib mobile was purchased on target.com.

This is a "dark room" ( no windows. It is off of my bedroom and I want to turn it into a Parisian-Boho type hang-out. It is a mess, but please HELP ME!

My tween daughter wanted a more sophisticated room but I didn't want to repaint after only two years. With peacock blue walls, she picked out a black and white comforter and bright yellow as an accent.

This is the room I recently completed for my step-daughter. Using her favorite colors pink & green along with a Parisian theme, I accented the room with black & white to give this room an updated chic look perfect for a pre-teen.

This dining room focused on three colors - black, white, and gray to give a simple Parisian chic feel. I used high gloss black to paint the chair rail and trim. The zebra rug gives it a fun kick. The mirrored cabinet was a basic t.v. armoire. Custom cut mirror, gray paint, a few accessories and it's been transformed into a liquor cabinet!

I finally completed my Master Bedroom and it's only been 2 years :0 It's both whimical, art deco and Parisian in style and as eclectic as my personal style. I love the color combination of icy blue and a tangerine spice to warm it up a bit and keep it from looking like a wedding cake or so my hubby says... I always add items to bring a smile and sense of whimsy and to remind myself life is good and to not take everything to serious. I hope you enjoy the space as much as we do.

Love Parisian inspired spaces and mixing bold colors with lots of pop! This very small galley kitchen can still be enjoyable to cook in with the right inspiration. Fun, classic and a little chic. Colorful bottles can dress it up nicely! For those of us on a budget, an old kitchen with an inexpensive new twist!

My bedroom changes with me. I'm in my early 20's, love to shop, and enjoy traveling. I didn't want my room to be restrictive to one style...it suits my everyday moods!

A masculine feel with touches of frou-frou. Walls are rich cocoa; ceiling latte; trim-warm cream. Furniture plain and heavy for him. Details soften -French prints in gold frames sconces dripping prisms silver framed photos dainty French side chair. Brass shoe- a favorite Victorian piece. Fireplace faces the bed. Pillows in rich silks make the bed cozy and inviting. Pocket door to the master bath. Cherry finished hardwood floors and a silk and wool oriental rug.

This petite room is unapologetically girly with pink velvet drapes shabby chic-esque florals white furniture contrasted with black & white accents and a touch of robin's egg blue for a pop of color. My daughter selected nearly everything in the room and had lots of fun "designing" her space.
