"I always wanted a beautiful and exciting den where my Nieces and Nephews could come over and feel they were visiting Paris France when they visited their Aunt Nori!" It's such a charming and fun room... we just love it!

You did a great job. I love the warmth of the room and I don't think it's too dark at all. I love that you used the post light and the french writing. What fun you must have with your nieces in this room. While I love the awning - the one thing I might suggest is changing the awning fabric to a large black and white vertical stripe (if you can't find fabric like this you could always paint canvas fabric) - OOO LA LA!

Yes you are all right! Initially I had the table moved over and the light just hung in the middle of the room! That's why it was hung so high. Now that it is over the table... I need to lower it. Thanks to everyone with the "marvelous eyes." ha I didn't want to take away from my painting on the wall that needs to be professionally lite!

This is awesome!!! Love the wine holder..where did you get them?? Is your chandelier a 3 light or 5 light fixutre? It does look a little high (I sell lighting). Rule of thumb on hanging is 24"-36" depending on how big the table is. You've done a terrific job!

I keep reading comments about the light needing to be lowered... Did I read that you actually had a decorator do this room... I believe the rule is 36" to 40"... It looks about 40" to me... And the awning is a big part of the charm...

I would lower chandelier- it is a little too dark the romance and ambiance is nice. Love the writing on the wall and the awning so unexpected and unique! Great job with the faux brick too!
