We redecorated a spare bedroom and transformed it into a Nursery. The room was previously used by young family members whenever they came to visit. They painted, drew, wrote and scribbled on all the walls. Using them as their own personal canvases to express their artistic personalities. With our permission, of course. Once we found out we were pregnant we begun to brainstorm ideas and scoured the Internet for inspiration. Much of which was found right here on HGTV. We did all the painting ourselves. The end table was made out if a 12 dollar side table we bought from Walmart. I primed it, painted it, glued on a bunch of ABC wooden blocks and then had a piece of glass custom cut to place on top. We call it the Alphabet Table. The idea behind the room is Safari. Mostly Zebras, Elephants and Giraffes. I also really liked the idea of wooden pull toys and tried to incorporate those into the design. We wanted something calm, soothing, bubbling with color and fun. Something playful, functional and interesting to the eyes of a babe. A kids space. Somewhere cool to be at 3AM when we're changing diapers.
A nursery fit for a
Little Princess!
