The design for the nursery was inspired by my "vision" of what my future daughter might be like. While I had originally planned a very girly pink, brown and cream nursery with lots of frilly details, I changed that plan when I envisioned a very laid-back girl, full of personality and with a style all her own. I wanted the room to feel serene and relaxing while still exuding an element of fun and playfulness. I knew I didn't want it to feel "matchy matchy" or straight from a box, but rather be sprinkled with elements that had personal meaning or importance. The nursery has been a work in progress and has grown over time, as we moved into the house the DAY BEFORE I went into labor!
