We're expecting our first baby in July and don't know the sex. I wanted to create a fun, gender-neutral space that would grow with baby as he or she transitions into toddler and kid years.

The stripes were definitely a labor of love. That wall took two people about 8 hours. The stripes are varying heights of blue painters tape to make measuring easier.

It's the Hemnes 8-drawer dresser from Ikea. We got it several years ago but they still stock it. I believe it's sold pine and was very easy to paint. We did prime first however. It came with silver nobs but a little spray paint did the trick.

Great room! I love the stripes on the wall. I do have a quick question. The dresser from Ikea. Do you remember the name of it? I want it! Is it veneer and was it easy to paint? I would love to hear from you!
