It's free and easy.
I wanted a calm and serene space for my daughter, that had a shabby chic feel to it, but I didn't want anything that was too pink or too babyish. I wanted something that could potentially grow with her. I was also on a budget and so this is the end result. We also had a very, very small space to work with and are currently in a rental, so there where a lot of things that we could not do to the room that we would have like to do, but I am still so pleased with her room, it's my favorite in the whole house.
The curtains, changing pad, bedding, coordinating pillows, ect were all handmade by my mother. My husband and I refinished all the shelves, dresser and crib. Most of the decorations are either handmade by me and my mom, or things that I had around the house or that where from my childhood.
The paint color is called White Gold by Interior Colors and the bedding fabric is from Joann's. We probably spent around 500.00 on this room, but the end result is priceless.
And honestly - the pictures that I took, simply do not do this room justice.
A nursery fit for a
Little Princess!
