  • ~Hip Home!~B&A Tour, We tried to create a fun contemporary home with some pizzazz. It was a blast to stage this home. Contrary to popular belief, a vacant home does not show bigger or better. When a buyer walks through the front door, the goal is to elicit an emotional connection-this is next to impossible with an empty house. While other homes in the neighborhood sat for months on end this one sold in days for the asking price-they wanted to move back in. Fun! If you're selling please keep this in mind, and if not, hopefully you may find some decorating inspiration if this is your style. I can't imagine a better job on the planet, even though it is hard and demanding work. It is so rewarding to help sellers move on with their new lives.   • Pheasant Creek Fusion, This is the bedroom in our 686 square foot condo in Lake Forest California. The condos here are converted apartments with virtually nothing in the way of architectural detail. The rooms are plain little boxes. We wanted something special so we added our own details by using a large Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts style wallpaper border (24 inches tall) and topped it with crown moulding as well as painted trim on the lower part of the border.   • My bachelor bedroom, This is my single bachelor bedroom. Featuring a low profile Ikea King size bed with matching Ikea furniture that's surrounded by a awesome 42 inch flat screen TV and my 5 foot painting above the bed. I live in an in a single bedroom apartment this room was done on a $2000.00 budget. Please let me know how I did and if you have any advice.   • Our Small but cozy master bedroom, Our master bedroom is very very small and won't hold much furniture. It only has a 1/2 bathroom with a pocket door. The bathroom is rarely used. The closet is pretty large compared to the rest of the room. I made the cornice board and need to finish a roman shade for the bathroom in the same material., Bedrooms Design

  • My Bedroom, A rental apartment bedroom. I painted the focal wall aqua with beige contrasting walls. Added a lot of reflective accesories including mirror tiles behind the headboard and behind the desk. Mirror tiles are mounted on MDF and hung on non-intrusive hangers to protect the wall. The table lamps are mirrored as are two mirrored tables for accesories. The bedding and curtains are light and airy aqua and brown as are the floor area rugs. I used Mardi Gras masks for punches of color and a crystal floor lamp for additional lighting. I use the room for my pc use also and to hide the wiring I constructed a panel board painted the same as the wall. The bedroom is small with attached bathroom space with vanity, shower stall and walk-in closet., Bedrooms Design

  • What do you do with a double "master" bedroom?, We bought this house 2 years ago and little by little we have been renovating the home. This is our master bedroom separated by a wall with a door. So there is our bedroom on one side and a sitting room on the other side where my hubby plays his video games. We would like to take down this wall to make one room.   • rustic guest room, This space went from a neglected junk/computer room to a cozy rustic bed-and-breakfast type space for our guests. What was a concrete block room with splintered shabby molding and 25 year old paint, is now a restful crisp sage green on beadboard with clean white trim. A new wall mounted heat/air conditioning unit ensures the comfort of guests, and the almond painted ceiling adds a cozy feel. Hope you all like it- it was an emergency transformation! My daughter and son had each taken their bedroom suits with them as they moved out on their own. My son has now recently become engaged, and was bringing his fiance home for a visit!   • My own B&B retreat, What was once my daughters "pepto pink" bedroom has become a part of our master suite. We removed the double closet and changed the entrance and added a pocket door. We took up the blue carpet and refinished the red oak floors & added a high gloss poly. We still have to fiinish adding the molding, and decide on a ceiling vs. a standard light, but were getting there a little at a time. Check out pics of the master bath posted,.   • Blue and Brown Master bed room remodel, This was two years in the making we finished our Raised ranch addition and my master bedroom was last ..(well not really our master bath gets underway this month) Its a pretty big space with a huge walk in closet still looking to finish with some crown molding and other decorative accessories.
