This 483 square foot condo was a complete renovation and was a 100% DIY. Being a studio, space was obviously an issue. By using versatile furniture selections and coming up with sneaky storage solutions we were able to come up with a space that is both comfortable and inviting.
This was my first and only flip I've done since graduating with a degree in interior design. I plan on getting into the flipping business when the market turns back around. In the meantime I work as a full time interior designer at a boutique frim in NJ. I'm also interested in side projects, so if you're interested please contact me.
www.idstudio3.com
info@idstudio3.com
We just recently moved to a new house and I was able to build my dream scrap room! It took 6 months to gut the room and start from scratch but the end result was well worth it. I kept all the built-ins and main furniture neutral so I could change my color scheme as needed. It has room for my toddler to play in as well.

Here's my organized sewing room in my unfinished basement. I used pink embossed pleather (vinyl to cover ugly concrete walls and added cheap pink cotton fabric to disquise exposed pipes.

We wanted a Modern Boy nursery that looked design quality without the high designer cost.....our total cost including all supplies and furniture was under $800! The ceiling pieces were cut from 5/8" plywood and painted to match the block wall. We gave the look of crown molding by taping and painting to create this illusion. We were inspired by another design we found and improved upon it to fit our own style and taste. We used no VOC paint throughout and organic bedding.

This is a custom kitchen I designed for a Friend's Remodel. The original kitchen was completely gutted to make the way for this new edition. To save money we kept the original cabinetry and stripped and re-stained them the rich coffee color to contrast the creams of the travertine, the stainless steel of the appliances and the Cappucino Colors of the wall, for a combination that is modern, yet has the old world feel with the tile work and rich colors. Notice the Old Morrocan ironwork we used for window shutters above the sink. Note the custom handcarved island from Mexico and the Granite Island and countertops and one other detail you may have not noticed, we added Canterra stone corbels with a wood bem shelf above the Frig to soften it's modern tone and to help it blend with the old world style of the rest of the kitchen.

Newly adopted and home from Russia only 3 months we wanted our lovely little girl's room to be a special place. We aimed for a sophisticated modern room the focal point being the mod (yet organic tree that my husband painted. We painted a few little birds above the wainscoting as well. The leopard print carpet tied the whole room together nicely. The highlight of the room is the custom made white patent leather headboard IMO. Our new daughter is in LOVE with her room!
Update: Now 6 years old, we're in the process of creating a whole new room for our little luv. During a huge remodel of our house, this room was razed to make room for an addition. So sad to see it go, but onward and upward!

This is my studio apartment in the Boston area decorated over time on a super tight budget. All of the larger pieces were floor models or deeply discounted and most of the accessories are sale items from ikea target and pottery barn. The wall art are pieces that i created from old frames old housepaint paint swatches and old photographs.

Have recently moved in this beautiful 1920's High Rise Building in NYC. The ceilings are 12" high which somehow dwarfs the furniture.
Many people mention the lack of colors in my decor, however I like the tan and black theme with very little colors.
Keep in mind, this is New York City, there are rarely any formal rooms, you have to work your best with the space you got.

I wanted the gorgeous ceilings to be the main attraction in this pre WWII studio. I hand cut white butterflies for texture to accent the curved wall, the floor to ceiling panels to act as a faux headboard, kept everthing in a cool/minimal motif. It took some planning, but I love the space.

This is a very small studio in Miami Beach South Beach. I designed this very funcyional space as my mini loft. Apple green whites and chocolate brown is my chocolate candied green apple theme. I share this place with my 10 years old daughter and managed to create a space then we both enjoy. I am a server living on a very tight budget and with creativity and an eye for bargains made this my crib. tell me what you guys think.....
